<RubberRabb> oh do we have to be good if Janet is teaching?

<Janet> let me see if I can find my class page LOL

<brenda> yes

<RubberRabb> :-(

<Legs> ok, before we start...that Caught in Crystal Class....how does that technique differ from the Diamong Glaze thing?

<Legs> Diamond

<Lory> future is cheaper

<Legs> with the tissue paper

<sparkle> it doesn't use diamond glaze

<sparkle> ROFL

<Legs> oh

<anno> it uses cheap floor wax instead of spendy diamondglaze.

<Legs> got it

<brenda> i missed the class?

<Lory> you know cheap

<Legs> no, you ARE cheap

<AmyLPR> hi

<RubberRabb> like that class--wondered why that Diamond Glaze smelled familiar!!

<Lory> yes i am

<cak> I'm thinking the thinner medium might be better for a marbling effect (wht the proper tools)

<Janet> whimper whimper, can someone find my class page for me?

<cak> lol

<brenda> janet?????

<Janet> go to www.weebewire.com and find it?

<brenda> where did you put it??????

<Janet> it's under the class link

RubberRabbit (hides Janet's class page behind legs)

<sparkle> which class are we doing janet?

<Janet> LOL no wonder I couldn't find it, I have the wrong link up there.

<RubberRabb> but you have to be nice to Janet for the class

<Janet> Go here: http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<Legs> no we don't

<RubberRabb> not you, Legs, just anno

<RubberRabb> that's the price

<RubberRabb> LOL

RubberRabbit is mean

<Janet> it's a pathetic class page, I been a little busy lately

<Legs> thank the Lord

<AmyLPR> lol

<Legs> The Midnight Wire.....hahahhaah

<RubberRabb> why janet, what have you been doing?

<Janet> I was very nice to Rubber Rabbit during hers

<Legs> you crack me up, Janthrax

<Janet> I been getting my kid out of my house

<Lory> janet, is that colored wire or copper?

<Janet> my step by step is square brass and red artistic wire

<Legs> she only uses SILVER donchaknow

<brenda> hello retta

<Janet> but oh. the good samples?

<Legs> no way?

<Janet> let me find that link

<Legs> I thought you were a purist

<Lory> well thats what i thought, but it didnt look silver

<Janet> my step by step sample is done with 10 cent a foot wire<g>

<Legs> she's turned into a CHEAP 'Ho

<Janet> hey! sometimes I use gold (when someone else is buying the wire)

<LiaO> what is square brass?

<Chele> oooh that twisty one is gonna make me carsick

<Janet> LiaO, you can buy brass wire that instead of being round, it is square

<brenda> hello wanda

<cak> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg?

Lory offers chele a barfbag

<Wanda> Hi

<Janet> it is cool stuff because you can twist it and it looks cool

<Legs> Janet has cool square wire

<Lory> it is very cool

<Janet> That's it, CAK!

<brenda> oh janet gorgeous

<LiaO> <gasp> that's a new one on me!

<Legs> she sells it too, I think

<cak> (I was just perusing it) Lovely

paperpusher loves Janet's square wire

<anno> oh janet..

<anno> those are gorgeous!

<Legs> doncha, janet?

<kristi> can we win 'em????

<LiaO> :-( i don't have NEARLY the wire I NEED!

<Janet> These are EASY!!

<Legs> Liar

<anno> they are way cool.

<LiaO> they don't look easy!

<Janet> Oh for real, they are!!

<Janet> VERY EASY

<LiaO> well, maybe part of it

<Janet> and you can make them as individual as you can dream up.

<Legs> I can already tell I can't do this class

<kristi> like the treasure jewel pendant?? Ha! Mine sucked - was very glad I only did it with the practice wire you sent

<Janet> most of those look like gold but, uh were really brass (I AM cheap) I'm gonna hang 'em on the christmas tree as ornaments

<brenda> oh neat idea

<susan> Janet can you do caps?

<Legs> are there TWO web sites for the samples?

<Janet> SURE SUSAN

<brenda> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg?

<Janet> WELL, GO TO THE http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg TO SEE THE GOOD ONES

<LiaO> the stuff I do out of practice parts always turn out good, then they're not "quality" enough

<Legs> WOW

<Legs> <thud>

<Janet> THEN AFTER YOU OOO AND AHHH OVER WHAT WE'RE GONNA MAKE TONIGHT, THEN I'LL TELL THE STEP BY STEP PICTURES

<Janet> THAT'S WHY MY BRASS ONES i'M GONNA HANG ON THE TREE.

<brenda> hey rosem

<AmyLPR> i love the one with green and blue beeds

<Janet> AND WHEN THEY TARNISH, THEY'LL BE EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL

<brenda> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg?

<Janet> I LOVE TARNISHED BRASS AND TARNISHED COPPER

<Janet> JUST NOT ON MY SKIN BECAUSE THEN IT TURNS MY SKIN GREEN

<paperpushe> Sorry Janet...can't keep my eyes open any longer....g'night

<Janet> (OF COURSE WEARING YELLOW ALSO DOES THAT)

<LiaO> tarnished brass and copper are good, but not aluminum!

<Legs> how come you ain't writing articles on this for the mags???

<Janet> LOL

<AmyLPR> lol

<Legs> they is loverly, Mommy

<Janet> IF YA DON'T LIKE TARNISH, USE ALUMINUM

<Janet> SO GET YOUR CHEAP WIRE FOR THE FIRST ONE

<RubberRabb> very nice indeed, Janet

<Janet> SO IF IT SCREWS UP YOU WON'T CRY

<Janet> BUT IT WON'T SCREW UP, THIS IS REALLY EASY

<RubberRabb> ok-how much cheap wire do we need (got a lot of cheap wire)

<AliciaG> I have to head out, gonna go rest for a bit.

<Lory> janet, does the artistic wire stand up to the twists and bends

<AliciaG> thanks Janet!

<cindyc> oooooooooooooooooooooo ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

<Chele> nite, Alicia - feel better!

<LiaO> bye Alicia

<Janet> CUT ABOUT 6" PIECES (IF THE BEADS ARE LIGHT, LORY AND YOU DON'T TWIST A LOT)

<cindyc> needless to say i love these!

<Lory> ty

<Janet> CUT WELL, CUT 9 PIECES IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A CROSS...

<LiaO> waahhh, I can't cut and paste your instr. :-(

<RubberRabb> I would assume that for this design, sparkly beads are better than just plain ones, right?

<Legs> how many of each color?

<Janet> CUT 9 PIECES OF LIKE 8" LONG IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A SNOWFLAKE

<Janet> I'M GONNA TELL YOU HOW TO MAKE THE CROSS FIRST, BECAUSE IT'S THE HARDER OF THE TWO

<Janet> CUT3 PIECES OF THE MIDDLE COLOR WIRE AND 6 PIECES OF THE OUTER SIDES COLOR

<RubberRabb> whoa, Janet--I'm already lost

<Lory> all the same gauge janet?

<Janet> YEAH, MOST OF THE ONES ON THE GOOD PAGE WERE DONE WITH 22 GAUGE WIRE...

<RubberRabb> we need 9 pieces of wire how long? 6"?

<Janet> AS HEAVY A WIRE AS YOU CAN GET THROUGH YOUR BEADS

<Janet> 6" LONG YES, NINE PIECES OF THAT

<Lory> ok, sorry you know i am wire impared

<Janet> OH RIGHT, LORY, YOU MAKE GORGEOUS STUFF

<brenda> lory can work with wire?????????

<Lory> i have made 2 things please

<Janet> SHE'S AWESOME

<Janet> SHE'S A NATURAL

<brenda> ok ty

<Janet> SOMEONE TELL THE NEW ONES WHERE THE GOOD SAMPLES ARE?

<RubberRabb> Lory is multitalented..

<brenda> i know not to show any wire work to her

<AmyLPR> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg?

<brenda> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg?

<RubberRabb> http://www.cyberstampers.com/whimages/cross2.jpg

<Janet> YEAH

<Janet> THAT'S THE PRETTY SAMPLES

<Janet> NOW!

<brenda> http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

Lory has multipersonalities thats the only multi

<Janet> IF YOU CAN SEE A WEB PAGE AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU'RE IN CHAT, GO TO THE UGLY PAGE BRENDA JUST SHOWED

<brenda> not ugly

<Janet> THESE ARE UNRETOUCHED SCANS OF THE ONE I MADE REAL QUICK THIS EVENING

<RubberRabb> they're not ugly, Janet> just different designs

<Janet> IF YOU USE ARTISTIC WIRE? THE COLORS ARE LOVELY BUT YOU MUST BE CAREFUL WITH IT, THE COLOR WILL NICK OFF

<brenda> just show details we need to see

<RubberRabb> ok

<RubberRabb> will just use some copper wire and some antique black glass beads..

<Janet> FOR A TREE ORNAMENT, ARTISTIC WIRE IS JUST GREAT! IT LOOKS NEAT AND IS EASY TO WORK WITH

<Janet> IF YOU'RE WANTING TO MAKE A NECKLACE TO WEAR, YOU'LL WANT PROBABLY BETTER WIRE

<RubberRabb> just want an ornament

<brenda> me toooo

<Janet> MY SAMPLE IS ARTISTIC WIRE IS THE RED, AND THE MIDDLE WIRE IS SQUARE BRASS

<AASusan> I want to make ornaments :)

<Kaye> i have a 24 gauge wire is that ok

<Janet> AND THE BEADS ARE NICKEL 4MM BEADS THAT YOU CAN BUY FOR CHEAP AT THE CRAFT STORE

<Janet> THAT WILL WORK GREAT, KAYE

<Janet> THE RED I USED WAS 24 GAUGE

<RubberRabb> so we got our nine pieces of 6" long wire that is the thickest stuff that will go through the holes in the beads..

<Janet> 24 GAUGE IS GREAT FOR AN ORNAMENT BECAUSE YOU CAN FINGER BEND IT

<Janet> GOOD DEAL, RUBBER RABBIT... SO YOU HAVE YOUR WIRES CUT...

<Janet> MAKE A FLAT BUNDLE OF FIVE OF THOSE WIRES

<RubberRabb> yes I do

<Janet> AND IF YOU'RE USING TWO DIFFERENT COLORS?

<Janet> THE ORDER OF THE BUNDLE IS OUTER-OUTER-MIDDLE-OUTER-OUTER

<Janet> AND THEN USE A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE OR SOMETHING TO HOLD THEM TOGETHER FLAT IN THAT ORDER

<Janet> THE SECOND SCAN SHOWS THIS WITH MY MASKING TAPE ON IT

<Janet> DOES THAT MAKE SENSE SO FAR?

<Cheri> yes

<Janet> PUT THE MASKING TAPE IN THE VERY MIDDLE OF THE BUNDLE

<RubberRabb> yep--got that

<RubberRabb> had to hop to get the masking tape..

<Janet> (IF YOU WERE MAKING A SNOWFLAKE, YOU WOULD LAY DOWN ALL NINE OF YOUR WIRES IN THIS BUNDLE OUTER-MIDDLE-OUTER OUTER-MIDDLE-OUTER ETC. ORDER

<RubberRabb> wb legs

<Janet> AND THEN WRAP THE MIDDLE WITH A 10TH PIECE OF WIRE

<Janet> LEA, WE'RE JUST NOW ON THE SECOND STEP, THAT'S WRAPPING OUR BUNDLE OF FIVE OF OUR WIRES WITH MASKING TAPE ON THE MIDDLE

<Janet> READY TO MOVE ON?

<Janet> EVERYBODY UP TO THE TAPING STAGE?

<Legs> I got the big boot-ola from my demented ISP

<Kaye> no wait just a bit

<RubberRabb> yeah, but can we leave the snowflake til later because you're confusing me

<Janet> OKAY

<Legs> can I have ther urls again please?

<Janet> http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<RubberRabb> I look down and the next thing I know my five turns to nine..LOL

<Legs> ok, thaks

<Janet> THAT IS THE STEP BY STEP ONE

<Legs> thanks

<LiaO> i have the webpage open and it says not found

<Legs> it worked for me

<Janet> I HAVE A WRONG LINK IN MY SITE, GO STRAIGHT TO WEEBEWIRE.COM AND THEN CLASS AND THEN PENDANT

<Janet> LIKE http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<Legs> shame

<Janet> THE LINK HAS SOMETHING ELSE WHERE I MEANT TO PUT IT ONLY BY THE TIME I MADE THE PAGE I FORGOT

<LiaO> trying the other browser. so sorry for interrupting!

<Legs> if you didn't smoke so much pot

<cak> (the vagaries of web work)

<Janet> LOL

<Janet> THE VAGARIES OF MY ADDLED MIND

<LiaO> :-)

<Janet> ARE WE TAPED?

<RubberRabb> yes we be taped

<Janet> WOO HOO1

<Janet> HEY ENCHY

<Janet> WE ARE TAPED!

<RubbrKitty> hi, Kiddies!!

<Janet> NOW... TAKE A MIDDLE WIRE!

RubberRabbit hops to enchy and shows her her taped wire

<Janet> AND BEND IT IN HALF

<Janet> LIKE MAKE A U OUT OF IT

<Kaye> how do we tape again

<Legs> this is too hard, Ench.....might as well leave again

<Janet> KAYE, JUST PUT MASKING TAPE AROUND YOUR BUNDLE OF FIVE

<Janet> WIRES

<Lory> legs if i can do it you certainly can

<Kaye> k cool'

<Janet> LEA, IF YOU DIDN'T DISCO, IT WOULDN'T BE HARD. REALLY.

<Legs> sure

<Janet> THE MASKING TAPE IS JUST TO KEEP THOSE WIRES FROM FALLING OUT OF YOUR HANDS ON YOUR FEET

Lory has a demented pic of lea disco ing

<Janet> THEY ARE SLIPPERY RASCALS AND WILL ESCAPE IF THEY GET THE CHANCE

RubberRabbit has a pic of a demented lea disco-ing

<Janet> LOL

<Legs> I am leaving now

<Lory> and janet i found that masking tape can help you keep from dinging up your wire real bad

<Legs> not really

RubberRabbit has another pic of a demented lea disco-ing demented-lea

<Janet> SO NOW YOU HAVE ONE OF THE WIRES THAT YOU DIDN'T BUNDLE IN A U SHAPE, RIGHT?

<Legs> right

<Janet> IT SURE CAN!

<RubberRabb> yes I do

<Janet> OKAY, PUT THAT WIRE AROUND YOUR BUNDLE RIGHT ABOVE WHERE THE TAPE IS

<cak> uh, parallel to the work surface or perpendicular?

<RubberRabb> I be taped and bent (very kinky)

<Janet> BENDING THE U AHEAD OF TIME HELPS THAT WIRE STAY WHERE YOU WANT IT TO BE

<cak> Oh! nevermind==my addled mind this time

<AASusan> is that an outer or inner wire?

<Janet> WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO IS JUST BEND THAT WIRE AROUND THE BUNDLE LIKE YOU WERE USING A TWIST TIE AND IT WAS A LOAF OF BREAD

<Janet> THIS IS AN INNER WIRE

<RubberRabb> so we are wrapping that bent middle wire all the way around the bundle

<Janet> YEP

<LiaO> sorry, i have to call it a night. I will keep an eye on the webpage, Janet. they're beautiful and your instructions are wonderful!

<Janet> PRETEND LIKE IT IS A TWIST TIE

<RubberRabb> ok

<LiaO> thanks for doing it!

<Janet> THANKS LIA, I'LL HAVE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS ON THERE SOMETIME NEXT WEEK

RubberRabbit throws away twist ties, but we'll go along with it for now

<Janet> AND TWIST IT AROUND THE BUNDLE TWICE AND END UP WITH ONE LONG END ON EACH SIDE OF THE BUNDLE

<AASusan> I thought it was a new middle wire/

<Kaye> i am behind again

<LiaO> I'll be looking for 'em! :-)

<AASusan> is it the one already in the bundle?

<Janet> THIS IS A NEW MIDDLE WIRE, THIS IS ONE THAT YOU DID NOT BUNDLE!

<Kaye> i have the bundle taped now what

<Janet> IT'S A STRAY THAT YOU'RE WINDING AROUND THE BUNDLE

<Janet> THIS IS THE THIRD SCAN I THINK

<RubberRabb> huh? how did we get two long ends out of one middle wire? are we wrapping both parts of it?

<Janet> WELL, THE THIRD SCAN SHOWS THAT YOU'VE DONE A MIDDLE WIRE AND TWO OUTER WIRES

<Janet> WE ARE WRAPPING IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WIRE, rr

<Janet> THE U BEND WAS THE MIDDLE OF THE WIRE

<Janet> SO YOU HOOK THAT U ON YOUR BUNDLE AND TWIST EACH WIRE AROUND THE BUNDLE

<Janet> SO THAT THEY'RE HANGING TO EACH SIDE OF THE BUNDLE AND LOOPED AROUND THE MIDDLE TWO OR THREE TIMES

<Janet> AND MAKE IT TIGHT

<Janet> AND THEN SMASH IT TIGHT WITH YOUR PLIERS

<Janet> (BUT CAREFULLY IF YOU'RE USING COLORED ARTISTIC WIRE

<Lory> masking tape on the pliers helps

<Lory> sorry to butt in

<cak> Could you just wrap it or is this more secure?

<Janet> MAKING THE U WAS TO KEEP THIS FROM SNEAKING TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, SO YOU END UP WITH THE WRAPPING AROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT LENGTH OF WIRE

<AASusan> Janet was the U in the new middle wire?

<Janet> UHHH I'M NOT 'SPAINING WELL ENOUGH, WE ARE JUST WRAPPING THIS WIRE AROUND THE BUNDLE

<AASusan> or the original middle wire?

<Janet> YES, SUSAN IT WAS

<Janet> THIS WAS THE NEW MIDDLE WIRE

<AASusan> oh, that makes a difference

<Janet> (AND YOU GOT A THIRD MIDDLE WIRE LAYING STILL ON THE DESK UNTOUCHED)

<AASusan> gotcha

<Janet> HEY DENA. STEP BY STEP IS AT http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<RubberRabb> Nope I'm totally lost

<Nansea> okey ty janet :)

<RubberRabb> I got my wires taped

<RubberRabb> and I bent one of them into a u

<RubberRabb> but is that the one I use to wrap??

<Janet> AND WE'RE ON THE THIRD SCAN, AFTER WE WRAP AROUND THE MIDDLE WIRE AND HAVE THE TWO ENDS BECOMING THE ARMS OF OUR CROSS...

<RubberRabb> or do I use one of the LOOSE ones

<RubberRabb> that I didn't tape down?

<stamprat> loose one, rabbit

<Janet> YOU USE ONE OF THE LOOSE ONES YOU DIDN'T TAPE DOWN

<Janet> SO UNBEND THAT ONE THAT'S A U

<RubberRabb> THAT'S the step you didn't mention

<RubberRabb> oops

<RubberRabb> now I gotta unwrap that wire that I bent into a u

<Janet> (WE DO COILS ON THE MIDDLE SO MESSING UP HERE IS NOT GOING TO MATTER A BIT, THIS IS WHAT MAKES THIS EASY)

<Janet> IT IS VERY FORGIVING

<RubberRabb> good thing

<Janet> THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE HARDEST PART OF THIS DESIGN

<Janet> TAKE AN OUTER WIRE THAT IS ==NOT== IN THE BUNDLE (ONE OF THE LOOSE ONES)

<RubberRabb> ok, now I'm with the program

<Janet> AND DO THE SAME THING WITH IT ABOVE THE MIDDLE WIRE YOU WRAPPED AROUND THE BUNDLE

<Janet> AND THEN DO IT WITH THE OTHER OUTER ONE

<Janet> SO YOU END UP WITH WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE THIRD SCAN ON THAT PAGE

<Janet> AND IF IT LOOKS ICKY, IT WON'T MATTER. TRUST ME

<AASusan> Janet, is this all done over the tape?

<Janet> AND THEN WHEN YOU GOT THESE DONE, WHERE YOU HAVE ONE MIDDLE AND TWO OUTER WIRES HANGING OUT ON EACH SIDE OF THE BUNDLE (THESE ARE THE ARMS OF OUR CROSS)...

<Janet> THIS IS ALL DONE RIGHT ABOVE THE TAPE

<Janet> SO NONE OF THIS TOUCHES THE TAPE BUT IT'S RIGHT ABOVE IT

<AASusan> ok

<Janet> (MAKES THE PROPORTIONS RIGHT, SINCE THE ARMS OF A CROSS ARE GENERALLY HIGHER THAN THE MIDDLE BY A BIT)

<AASusan> that makes sense :)

<Janet> WHEN YOU GOT THOSE THREE WIRES WRAPPED AROUND THE BUNDLE, SMASH THAT FLAT WITH YOUR PLIERS

<Janet> AND IF THEY'VE STRAGGLED OUT AND AREN'T ALL LYING NEATLY, SMOOSH 'EM BACK TOGETHER WITH THE PLIERS TOO

<Janet> HI, STAR

<Janet> STEP BY STEP IS AT http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<Janet> AND WE'VE JUST FINISHED THE THIRD SCAN

Nansea whispers hiya star

Star thinks> Hi, thanks.

<Janet> LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU ALL HAVE YOUR CROSS ARMS ALL GOOD AND THE MIDDLE SMASHED DOWN

<Star> Nansea, I have missed you.

<Janet> THIS =IS= THE HARDEST PART OF THIS DESIGN. BY FAR!!

stamprat is doing it in her head, so hers is perfick!

<Janet> SO IF YOU CAN TWIST WIRE AROUND A BUNDLE OF WIRE, YOU'VE GOT THIS ONE IN THE BAG

<cak> I suspect once the first one is finished, we'll go OOOOOHHHHHH--that's easy

<Janet> LOL

<Janet> ONCE YOU DO THE FIRST ONE YOU'LL THINK "SELL ME THAT SILVER WIRE, I'M GONNA MAKE A GOOD ONE NEXT TIME!"

<Janet> (HENCE I AM WISE TO SCHEDULE A SOCIAL AFTER THIS CLASS)

<RubberRabb> I think I have got it

<Janet> HEH HEH HEH

<cak> lol

<RubberRabb> LOL

<Janet> HIYA KAT

<kat> hi all

<Janet> http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/ IS THE STEP BY STEP, WE'RE MOVING ON TO THE FOURTH SCAN NOW

<Janet> YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST ONE MIDDLE WIRE STILL LOOSE ON THE DESK, I THINK THERE SHOULD BE ONE LEFT, RIGHT?

<AASusan> yup, one left

<Janet> WHEW

<Janet> BECAUSE I THINK I HAD YOU CUT ONE TOO MANY OUTER ONES

<Janet> LOL

<AASusan> nope, used all 6

<Janet> ANYWAYS, TAKE THAT MIDDLE WIRE AND YOU'RE GONNA WRAP IT JUST (OH GOOD, I DIDN'T MISCOUNT!)

<Janet> AROUND THE MIDDLE WHERE YOUR GLOP OF OTHER WRAPPED WIRES ARE...

<cak> Mostly to pretty it up?

<AASusan> ??

<Janet> AND IN MY SAMPLE I'D CUT ONE TOO MANY WIRES SO I PUT IT ON THERE TOO BUT YOU REALLY JUST WANT ONE

<AASusan> how are we wrapping it?

<Janet> YEAH. THIS IS TO ANCHOR IT TO THAT MIDDLE WRAP IT AROUND LIKE YOU DID THE OTHER WRAPPING BUT AT A DIAGONAL

<Janet> AT A DIAGONAL

<Janet> AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH DIRECTION

<AASusan> ok

<Janet> BUT WHEN YOU WRAP IT AROUND LIKE TWICE...

<Janet> IT SHOULD BE MORE VERTICAL THAN HORIZONTAL AND SHOULD FEEL LIKE YOU'RE SECURING THE ARMS TO THE MIDDLE BUNDLE

<Janet> AT THIS POINT, TOO, YOU CAN TAKE OFF THE TAPE

<Janet> IT HAS DONE ITS JOB NOW

<cak> The diagonal wrap would stablize the cross arms to they don't wave around I bet

<Janet> THEN YOU MAKE COILS ON THE ENDS OF THE MIDDLE WIRE YOU JUST WRAPPED AROUND, NOT THE BUNDLE BUT THE WRAPS OF THE BUNDLE

<Janet> OR THAT'S WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, THAT YOU'RE WRAPPING THE WRAPS OF THE BUNDLE

<Janet> AND THE SCAN IS MISLEADING BECAUSE I CUT ONE TOO MANY WIRES SO I STUCK IT ON THERE ANYWAY

<Janet> DOES EVERYBODY KNOW HOW TO MAKE A COIL?

<AASusan> so coil both the middle wire wraps?

<Janet> YEP, YOURE GOING TO COIL THOSE ENDS UP TO THE MIDDLE

<AASusan> or just the diagonal one?

<AASusan> Janet, I'm a wire newbie

<AASusan> how do you coil?

<Janet> JUST THE DIAGONAL ONE, YOU ALSO WRAPPED THE DIAGONAL ONE IN THE MIDDLE SO YOU'VE GOT TWO ENDS OF WIRE TO COIL

<Janet> OKAY!

<Janet> IF YOU HAVE ROUND NOSED PLIERS, IT'S EASIEST TO USE THOSE

<Janet> OR NEEDLENOSED ONES

<Janet> GRAB THE VERY END OF THE WIRE WITH THE VERY TIP OF THE PLIERS...

<Janet> AND TWIST THE WIRE AROUND THE TIP OF THE PLIER SO YOU END UP WITH A TINY CIRCLE

<AASusan> cool

<Janet> AND THEN GRAB THAT TINY CIRCLE WITH YOUR PLIERS AND USING YOUR FINGERS, COIL THE WIRE AROUND THE TINY CIRCLE

<Janet> AND EVERY HALF CIRCLE OR SO YOU NEED TO SHIFT THE PLIERS SO YOU CAN KEEP COILING THE WIRE AROUND

<Janet> LIKE A SPIRAL

<Janet> AND IT LOOKS MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN IT IS HARD

<AASusan> ok

<Janet> BUT YOU'RE SORT OF JELLYROLLING THE WIRE

<Janet> DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO ANYBODY BESIDES ME?

<cak> It does to me

<wyorph> works for me!

<cak> (the pictures help)

<Janet> OKAY!

<Janet> YAY!

<Janet> AND YEAH, THE PICTURES DO HELP

<Janet> SO LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU'RE COILED TO THE MIDDLE ON BOTH THOSE ENDS

<Janet> WHEN YOU GET COILED, ALL YOU DO IS BEND, WITH YOUR FINGERS, THAT COIL OVER TO COVER THE MIDDLE OF ALL THAT WRAPPING

<Janet> AND IT HIDES IT! AND IT LOOKS COOL!

<Legs> I just wanna know what you were on when you came up with this idea

<AASusan> oh, neat

<Janet> (AND I'M GONNA USE THIS TRICK ON MANY DESIGNS IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE IT WORKS TO HIDE MY MESSY WORK)

<Janet> LOL

<Janet> ACTUALLY I READ THIS ONE IN A BOOK, LET ME FIND THE AUTHOR

<Janet> (RIGHT LIKE I CAN FIND ANYTHING ON OR AROUND MY DESK RIGHT NOW)

<Janet> AND HE HAD THESE CROSSES MADE AND I STARTED MAKING ONE AND, UH DIDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS RIGHT AND I THINK MINE LOOK AS GOOD AND ARE MUCH EASIER AND DON'T USE AS MUCH WIRE SO THERE

<Janet> (THE CASE FOR NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS)

<RubberRabb> shoot I gotta go.. I hope you get all the instructions up soon Janet

<Janet> MOST OF MY "ORIGINAL" DESIGNS ARE THE RESULT OF ME NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS

<Janet> RR!

<RubberRabb> night all--thanks again, Lea

<Janet> ALL YOU DO AFTER YOU DO THE COILS?

<kat> hi maggie

<Susan> rofl janet

<Janet> IS STRING YOUR BEADS ON THERE AND WRAP THE ENDS

<RubberRabb> yes?

<MaggieB> hey all!

<Janet> THAT'S IT

<Janet> HIYA MAGGIE

<Susan> wow

<Janet> http://www.weebewire.com/class/pendant/

<Susan> that's easy

<RubberRabb> oh; ok--I think I can do it then..

<RubberRabb> Thanks Janet!!

Rene slaps RubberRabbit around a bit with a large trout

<Janet> THAT'S IT

MaggieB quietly waves... sorry just got in....~~~~ hi everyone!

<RubberRabb> ahh that's better!!

<RubberRabb> night

<Janet> PUT YOUR BEADS ON THE MIDDLE WIRE AND WITH A SPARE WIRE WRAP THE ENDS OF THAT

<Susan> through all 3 wire arms or just the middle?

<Janet> JUST THE MIDDLE ONE

<Janet> AND SORT OF BEND THE OUTER ONES OUT AROUND THE BEADS

<Janet> THEN BACK TOGETHER ON THE ENDS AND WRAP THE ENDS UP WITH A SPARE WIRE

<Janet> AND SORT OF SPIDER OUT THE ENDS SO IT LOOKS COOL

<Legs> Maggie, you got here just in time

<MaggieB> just in time?

<Janet> THE MIDDLE WIRE OF THE TOP ARM YOU PUT A LOOP IN SO YOU CAN HANG IT

<MaggieB> for the witching hour legs?

<Legs> <this is so hard, no one could ever actually DO it>

<wyorph> how did you do the cross with the brown beads around the center?

<Janet> AND YOU TRIM ALL THE EXCESS WIRE OFF

<MaggieB> lol legs...not janets stuff!

<Legs> I mean I have been here the whole time practically, and I still don't know anymore than when I started!

<Legs> truly

<Janet> OH! THAT ONE I ADDED TWO TINY (LIKE 2" OR SO) WIRES TO THE WRAP BEFORE I BENT OVER THE COILS

<Legs> she is scaring me tonight

<Susan> well the pictures help a lot

<Legs> well, uh..........

<Legs> I need to see the video

<Susan> it makes sense together

<Susan> i think :)

<Susan> haven't really tried it yet

<Janet> STUCK THE ROUND BEADS ON THOSE SMALL WIRES AND THEN CRIMPED THE ENDS OF THE WIRES SO THE LITTLE BEADS WOULDN'T FALL OFF

<Susan> just in my head

<Janet> LEA

<Janet> YOU NEED TO TRY IT

<Legs> ok, Mommy

<Janet> IF YOU TRY IT STEP BY STEP YOU'LL SEE THAT YOU CAN DO IT

<Legs> but I'm a dumbass

<Janet> WE'LL PLAY PLIERS IN JANUARY

<Janet> BULLCRUNCHIES

<cak> You are not!

<Janet> WE'RE GONNA PLAY PLIERS IN JANUARY

<Janet> COUNT ON IT

<Janet> (LEGS IS GONNA ROOM WITH ME IN JANUARY WHETHER SHE KNOWS IT OR NOT YET)

<Legs> can I smoke just for the weekend?

<Susan> at HIA?

<Legs> no, Grapevine!

<cak> I'm jealous

<Janet> SO DOES THE CROSS MAKE SENSE TO EVERYBODY? (EXCEPT LEGS WHO WILL NEED A PERSONAL DEMONSTRATION)

<Susan> bummer

<Legs> come with us, Charlotte!

<Janet> YOU CAN, LEA. OR YOU CAN JUST SIT CLOSE TO ME<G>

<AmyLPR> yep

<cak> I *think* so.

<Legs> I need an up close and personal demo

<kristi> I think an example would help a lot

<Janet> OKAY!
