<Janet> actually because you'll be wanting to select the white rectangle and the text and you don't want to accidentally select the pic too

<Janet> but you may want a nice delicate font that just shows a tiny bit of the pic

<Janet> whatever appeals

<Janet> then after you type what you want, jack up the point size until it's good and filling the white rectangle

<Janet> and if this were a real project, it's likely you'd be using a font to match other fonts on the page, and you'd want to keep the proportions of it right

<Janet> so changing the point size is the method of choice, usually

<Janet> you can grab and pull on a corner and it will stretch to proportion and the point size automagically changes, though

<MaggieB> what are the white boxes?

<Vyx> remembering what size you use from one page to another is nice, too.

<Janet> the white boxes are characters that your font doesn't have

<Janet> a lot of shareware fonts won't have numbers, for example.

<Janet> and so you either get a blank space or else a white box

<Janet> actually I should say that in order... place your text in your white box exactly how you want it to be.

<Janet> well, it's your graphic, Maggie, decide if you want that black line or not. you might want to outline your letters with black or some color

<Janet> in fact, you can go into your line menu and change it to a dashed line or a dotted line or all of those choices too

<Janet> no. you can group the two, but you may or may not be able to combine
