<cak> Is there a discussion leader (I need some ideas baaaaaad)?

<Sue> let's nominate Cak to be the leader

<sparkle> we're waiting for janet cak

<sparkle> <G>

<cak> NOOOOOOOO! please! (unless it entails begging for ideas)

<cak> (whew--finally got to the Janet comment)

<Sue> were you scared, Cak:)

<Janet> i'm so sorry I'm late

<sparkle> and here she comes!

<Vyx> Hi Janet!

<CrowFeathe> well, until I get a better idea, I think I'll just stamp a tree stamp I have that is outdoors with all sorts of animals around it and on it . . . and put pale blue snowflakes all around to fill in the card. Am looking for a good animal/Christmas type of quote-- any ideas--

<Scout> Janet, cause you're so late, we're not going to send you any poinsettias.

<cak> yep--you scared me bad (janet, they were gonna make me beg for ideas all night long. Now you have to do it)

<Janet> That IS the first think I'm going to do, though, is ask each of you for your favorite "quick quick card" idea.

<CrowFeathe> well there it was

<Vyx> ha. go to the store and buy one. LOL

<RubberRabb> I have a quick quick card idea

<Janet> good plan, Vyx. :)

<Janet> Please share it, RR!

<RubberRabb> buy cheap cards at the grocery store

<sparkle> 50% off at Micheals for the box

<CrowFeathe> just gotta stamp in green, snowflakes in blue and put a bit of colored pencil here and there on the aminals

<sparkle> ROFL

<RubberRabb> so now you have the greeting inside and the envelope

<LiBsTeR> ROFL

<Scout> I'm planning on sucking everything out of YOUR brains. And then if I can get the kitchen table cleared...........

<RubberRabb> just stamp and emboss a simple design on darkish paper

<Janet> yeah, I'm with ya so far, buy cheap cards, yep yep

<RubberRabb> like a gold tree on green paper

<RubberRabb> and cut and glue it on the cheapo card front

<RubberRabb> voila you be done

<Janet> oh!

<Janet> and your innard is already done and you have an envelope to size!

<LiBsTeR> That is a neat cheat, Rabbit!!

<RubberRabb> if you save your handmade christmas cards from last year

<CrowFeathe> oh neat idea rubberrabbittt!

<Janet> Brilliant!!

<Sue> good idea

<RubberRabb> you can recycle them that way

<RubberRabb> just put the real maker on the back of the card to stay honest

<Janet> wrapping paper makes good layering paper too

<RubberRabb> and if you get a whole bunch, you can package some of them up and give them as a gift to a shut-in

<RubberRabb> esp with postage

<RubberRabb> so that's cards AND gifts

<Janet> I do want to upload one of my samples because it turned out so well. (I'll start doing that now)

<RubberRabb> all from cheapo greeting cards and recycled cards

<Janet> that's a great idea, and we all have at least one shut-in on our list

<CrowFeathe> this gold tree say, on green paper-- is there a gold that doesn't have to be embossed? one that will show up nicely on it's own on dark paper? embossing takes time

<RubberRabb> Brilliance Gold

<Janet> My favorite Christmas card is very fast and I like it the best (and it didn't scan at all so you'll just have to imagine it)...

<RubberRabb> works really nice on Dark Paper

<CrowFeathe> the dollar store has tons of 1.00 per box of 16 or 25 cards

<Janet> oh yeah, Brilliance gold. It's my new favorite card tool.

<RubberRabb> but nothing beats embossing to really class up a cheap card

<CrowFeathe> is Brilliance gold better than the metallic golds from colorbox recently and the gold encore?

<RubberRabb> yes

<deb> yes

<RubberRabb> brilliance will dry on glossy paper

<deb> it dries

<CrowFeathe> i know, it really does look classy with embossing but I'm have a nervous fit if I have to do any now.

<deb> you don't have to emboss this

<CrowFeathe> wow, dries?? on glossy?? terrific!

<deb> yes

<RubberRabb> my Christmas cards this year are at Gingerwood

<Sue> I need to get some of that stuff

<deb> sparkle sells it

<RubberRabb> I stamped out a bunch of simple outline stamps earlier this year

<brenda> hello everyone

<Sue> Sparkle-what's your website?

<LiBsTeR> Hi Brenda!!

<RubberRabb> and dragged them everywhere all summer with tombows and colored them

<deb> hey bren

<Vyx> I nearly bought some embossing powder today until I remembered I don't have a heat tool yet.

<RubberRabb> hey brenda

<RubberRabb> vyx, you can use an iron

<Sue> hi Brenda

<deb> sparkle

<Vyx> Oh duh. I never thought of that.

<LiBsTeR> Hi Cak! I didn't see you there!

deb just got her order of brilliance ink from sparkle

<RubberRabb> put the paper on the underside of the paper with the embossing powder on top

<CrowFeathe> are those simple outline/colored cards the ones you have on gingerwood rubberrabbit?

<RubberRabb> yes crowfeather

<RubberRabb> it's stamped with black memories ink and white cardstock

<brenda> do we have a url please?

<RubberRabb> and took six colors in all to color them

<CrowFeathe> great, i'll have a gander at em

<RubberRabb> hang on

<deb> brenda - we are talking last minute cartds

<RubberRabb> www.gingerstamp.com

<deb> cards too

<RubberRabb> and it is the Christmas card gallery

<CrowFeathe> gonna look, brb

<RubberRabb> mine is the rubberrabbit one

<RubberRabb> of course

<brenda> lol

<brenda> ty

<deb> lol

<RubberRabb> but that is a good place to get ideas for cards, too

<RubberRabb> I did about 170 cards this year

<RubberRabb> and I start in August usually

<deb> oh my

<Janet> That's a great one, you made 170 of THAT design???

<LiBsTeR> Cool Rabbit

<LiBsTeR> WOW!

<RubberRabb> I did a hundred of that one

<RubberRabb> and seventy of a print I carved

<Janet> whoa

<Janet> I made 20, of the ones I couldn't scan right.

<RubberRabb> but if you have a simple stamp like that snowman

<Janet> that was glossy white paper, a fairly small snowflake stamped in clear and embossed in hologram. and that was it.

<RubberRabb> I just wait until those craft stores sell off their prefolded cards and envelopes

<RubberRabb> and stock up

<cak> very elegant Janet

<RubberRabb> a lot

<Vyx> I found a couple stamps at WalMart, in the Holiday (garden) dept.

<Janet> snowflake was in the lower right hand corner. took me about an hour to make 20

<Janet> I made eight watercolor ones.

<Vyx> that sounds really pretty

<RubberRabb> very nice Janet--that's elegant; but embossing on glossy paper is an acquired skill

<brenda> i did an easy card also

<RubberRabb> one I don't have a lot of patience with!

<brenda> i did matte beige yellow cardstock

<Janet> watercolor wash in darkish blue, then stamped that gg designs angel in gold brilliance on it

<Janet> done

<Janet> yeah brenda?

<brenda> with an octagon cut with fancy scissors

<brenda> in red typing paper

<brenda> and stamped galaxy gold brillaince with a manger scene

<CrowFeathe> cute card, rabbit!! and Kirsten Krause's single big snowflake would be a quick card without all the layer cutting -- maybe I could do it on dark paper with versa mark and then pearlex over it or something.

<brenda> very easy and quick

<CrowFeathe> and mount it on a white card

<RubberRabb> sounds like a plan crowfeather!

<RubberRabb> go go make cards!

<LiBsTeR> Hi Shannon!!

<RubberRabb> LOL

<RubberRabb> hi shannon

<cak> may be quick, but would have a lot of impact brenda (and I like the snowflake one too--very simple)

<brenda> hey shannon

<CrowFeathe> dark blue layer, just rectangle, on white rectangle. I do love the shape of her layers though, but no time to get even that fancy

<RubberRabb> Froggie just sent me a cool card, too

<Shannon> hey y'all

<deb> hey snannon

<RubberRabb> one of those glitter on the back of acetate

<brenda> the layers were easy with evos templates

<Janet> that sounds beautiful, Brenda

<RubberRabb> trimmed and then glued on a gold card

<Shannon> what's the class about?

<RubberRabb> quick holiday cards I think, right Janet

<Janet> I layered the one sample I got uploaded with wrapping paper, since it was out and all over the place

<brenda> and i am playing with professor lorries tech of laminate and glitter and gel pens

<deb> easy fast cards

<Janet> yep, that last minute card.

<brenda> that is lots of fun

<Janet> http://www.cyberstampers.com/lastminute/bigtree.jpg

<RubberRabb> or slow holiday cards, as long as they are easy

<deb> lol

<Shannon> ah

<LiBsTeR> That is cute, Janet!

<Janet> (the scan isn't all that true to color with the layers, they're metallic and just didn't scan well at all)

<LiBsTeR> I like it!!!

<Janet> that was a hand drawn tree (obviously) embossed and then brayered

<Janet> then layered with wrapping paper

<Janet> and I like it.

<brenda> wow janet

<Scout> Really cute, Janet....

<brenda> dramatic

<LiBsTeR> That is why I like it, it isn't perfectly pointed straight up- has character

<LiBsTeR> And I like the colors

<cak> so do I--like it that is

<LiBsTeR> what metallics??

<RubberRabb> Janet, that tree looks great--reminds me of the simple and elegant cards of Rubbermoon

<CrowFeathe> brenda, what is prof. lorries tech of . . .?

<Janet> well, I was drawing with a paintbrush, no such thing as a straight line or symmetry with me and a paintbrush.

<brenda> stamp on laminate

<Janet> but I needed something that would emboss, so I could brayer it

<brenda> color with glitter gel pens on the sticky side

<Janet> and also so I could cut it out easy. My scissor skills aren't very good

<brenda> then sprinkle clear fine glitter on it

<brenda> then glue it to card

<RubberRabb> sounds beautiful, brenda

<brenda> it is fun RR

<RubberRabb> the other idea I have for a fast card is one I got one year

<Vyx> Anyone know how to unclog gel pens? I have a bunch that won't write.

<brenda> hey lory

<RubberRabb> no stamping at all

<Scout> Doesn't coloring with the pens on the sticky side make the inks stop flowing or louse them up somehow?

<Lory> hey

<brenda> nope vyx

<Janet> glitter gel pens on the sticky side and then clear glitter. I can visualize this

<Janet> tell me the no stamping idea?

<RubberRabbit Hugs lory hard

<Janet> (my stamping skills aren't so good either)

<LiBsTeR> Hey BJ!!!

<RubberRabb> cut a window in a foldover

<brenda> everything messes gel pens up

<RubberRabb> and glue a christmas postage stamp in the opening

<beanjean1> hi lib

<CrowFeathe> the clear glitter goes on after you stamp on the sticky side and color on that side also with colored glitter pens?

<beanjean1> thanks for the hat janet

<RubberRabb> open the card and write merry christmas and sign it

<RubberRabb> you be done

<Janet> ooooo THAT I could do! (with an evo template<g>)

<CrowFeathe> rabbit, you ar a genius!

LiBsTeR is SO proud of her mentor

<RubberRabb> I can't take credit for that one at all

<RubberRabb> I got one just like that one year from Trish Rodgers

<RubberRabb> she used kraft colored paper

<cak> (we'll give you credit as a vector--a good vector)

<Janet> you could even jazz it a little bit and run a krylon leafing pen around the edges of the cutout, couldn't you?

<RubberRabb> and one of those old-fashioned looking Christmas postage stamps

<CrowFeathe> we'll give you the credit anyhow, wasn't it emerson or sumbudy who said the quoter of the quote is akin to the origniator or some such?

<RubberRabb> but you could just save stamps from this year and use them next year

<Janet> something like that<g>

<Janet> I love the stamps this year

<RubberRabb> you do know how to safely remove postage stamps from paper

<RubberRabb> right?

<LiBsTeR> no

<Janet> tell us again?

<LiBsTeR> I don't

<LiBsTeR> <0------ newbie

<RubberRabb> tear off the entire corner of the envelope

<RubberRabb> leave room around the stamp

<Janet> howdy to neetzl and lisa and lory and everybody I missed that came in when I was visualizing

<RubberRabb> you don't want to tear the stamp

<RubberRabb> fill a basin with warm water

<CrowFeathe> rubberrabbit, instead of a postage stamp, could use a sticker! now I'm a genius--LOL!

<RubberRabb> and put the whole thing in the water

<beanjean1> lol crow!

<RubberRabb> leave it

<neetzl> Hey! Sorry to be late. Is there a URL?

<Vyx> I've always soaked stamps of in Rubbing Alcohol

<RubberRabb> the postage stamp will sink to the bottom

<Vyx> off

<RubberRabb> and the paper will stay on top

<Janet> (not really, I just got one of my samples uploaded)

<RubberRabb> rubbing alcohol damages the finish of the postage stamp

<Janet> ohhhhhhhhhhh cool. I'll try that

<RubberRabb> water is ok

<Vyx> okay

<LiBsTeR> Hey Queen!

<RubberRabb> make sure you leave it until the stamp sinks to the bottom

<deb> hey q

<Janet> my one sample is at http://www.cyberstampers.com/lastminute/bigtree.jpg

<RubberRabb> that removes even the self-stick stamps

<TheQueen> hey deb

<RubberRabb> without leaving the glue on it

<LiBsTeR> wb Bren

<Vyx> wb Brenda

<cak> How about some ideas for using vellum? (I'm thinking silver snowflake on vellum over navy????)

<neetzl> Thanks!

<Janet> hey chris and welcome home, Brenda

<brenda> ty

<TheQueen> hi janet hi brenda

<RubberRabb> then fish out the stamp and lay it face down on a paper towel and let it dry

<Lory> i couldnt see it too good, janet send it to me to look at

<Janet> ooooo that would be lovely, Charlotte.

<beanjean1> cak I did that card!

<RubberRabb> you can store them all in a box

<brenda> hey queen

<LiBsTeR> Thanks, RAbbit

<beanjean1> only I used the silver sparkle EP

<cak> did you like it bj?

<RubberRabb> vellum looks wonderful if you dry emboss it

<Janet> LOL okay Lory. This was quick and easy enough I could even make a bunch of 'em

<beanjean1> yes it was beautiful

<TheQueen> is that the card you made for me janet?

<Lory> its not the making part that i am worried about, lol

<cak> Ooo-dry embossing would be nice too

<RubberRabb> and it goes fast

<brenda> no queen it is the one she made meeeeeeeee

<Janet> I made some of those holly magnets from a few weeks ago and just rubber cemented them to the middle of a card. all I have left to do is address them

<RubberRabb> looks very elegant

<RubberRabb> excellent Janet

<CrowFeathe> if i stamp a huge snowflake in versamark, an use pearlex over it, do I have to seal it?

<Janet> then people can peel off the magnet and have a gift, too.

<RubberRabb> probably a good idea

Lory is having a stress free xmas...no cards, no body, no whining

<brenda> lol lory

<RubberRabb> crowfeather to seal it just in case

<Janet> yeah, I'd spray that with a fixative

<CrowFeathe> how did you get rid of your body, lory?

<RubberRabb> esp if you send it through the mail

<CrowFeathe> dang. how do i seal it quick?

<LiBsTeR> That is what I was wondering, Crow!

<RubberRabb> you don't want to scare the poop outta the mailman with powder falling out

<Lory> the snatchers took it

<RubberRabb> hairspray

<RubberRabb> cheap hairspray

<LiBsTeR> LOL Rabbit

<CrowFeathe> i wish they'd snatch mine-- and leave me Gweneth Paltrow's

<Janet> now my gift tags are really spectacular this year. I got that sheet of holy card stamps from The Stampsmith, and stamped 'em on kraft paper with the gold brilliance ink

<brenda> it works great

<RubberRabb> did you mail me your body Lory? Drake would love a live-in dolly to play with during Christmas

<brenda> ohhhhhh janet neat

<CrowFeathe> akkkkk you are sooo right rabbit! i already had my run in with powder and the police station!

<TheQueen> EVO

<Janet> they are just beautiful

<LiBsTeR> Hey!! EVo!!

<Janet> Oh and there's EVO

<LiBsTeR hugs EVO

<Janet> Our lady of the hour!!

<evo> heyyyyyyyy :}>

<brenda> hey evo

<RubberRabb> EVO!!

<RubberRabb> hey!

<CrowFeathe> won't hairspray change the color?

<Lory> i dont think it would fit in the box red, lol

<Vyx> hi Evo

<Janet> (none of our quick and easy cards would be quick or easy without evo templates)

<brenda> no they wouldnt janet

<RubberRabb> don't think so, crowfeather, as long as it is the cheap stuff that is more alcohol and stickum than water and fragrance

evo blushes

<Vyx> That's something on my shopping list for next month.

<RubberRabb> evo templates are marvellous

<Janet> my one sample, it was the templates and the wrapping paper layering that helped that one out, and that was my inbetweenies squares

<brenda> they are a necessity

<Janet> (evo at http://www.cyberstampers.com/lastminute/bigtree.jpg )

LiBsTeR neeeeeds Evo templates

<RubberRabb> I plan to work hard to earn a lot of evo templates and holders! LOL

<CrowFeathe> thx rabbit, i'll get the cheep hairspray then!

<Lory> order em Libby, she ships real quick

<Lory> or should i say cevo ships quick, lol

<RubberRabb> Libster has to wait until she gets moved before she can order anything

<beanjean1> cute card janet!

LiBsTeR you are right, Rabbit

LiBsTeR can drool,though

<RubberRabb> or she'd never get unpacked at the other end

<evo> lol... cevo shmeevo

<beanjean1> lib you're moving?

<LiBsTeR> yes, in the next few days- to PA

<Lory> are you sposed to unpack after moving?

<LiBsTeR> where our house is

RubberRabbit wipes up the drool puddling on the floor under libster--ties a bib on Libster

<LiBsTeR> ROFL Lory

<brenda> is that what my problem is

<LiBsTeR thanks Rabbit, and tries hard to control herself, but evo templates.... ahhhhhh

<brenda> i never unpacked

<Lory> i made quick serindiptiy cards last year....cut the squares in half to make triangles and then made christmas trees with them

<Vyx> Me either. LOL

<LiBsTeR> Good idea, Lopry!

<brenda> ohh lory

<RubberRabb> cool, Lory!

<LiBsTeR> Lory I mean! ugh

<brenda> i bet those were neat looking

<CrowFeathe> what's a serindipity card?

<RubberRabb> stop drooling Lib--your fingers are slipping on the keys

<LiBsTeR> kik to quote Jenmist

<Lory> where you glue different sheets of paper together randomly and then cut into squares

<Janet> big trouble here. brb

<LiBsTeR> Well, that sounded ominous

<Lory> not sheets, sorry pieces

<cak> usually you mosaic them randomly on another sheet/card?

<RubberRabb> uhoh

<Vyx> Like scraps

<RubberRabb> what's up

<Lory> chico is probably stuck in the fridge

<evo> is this quick card class?

<TheQueen> or mike is

<LiBsTeR> yes, it is Evo

<RubberRabb> yes evo

<CrowFeathe> oh I get it, then you get random sorts of tree colorings?

<evo> ahhhhh

<RubberRabb> but wait til Janet comes back so she doesn't cry

<Lory> i made mine red green gold whatever

<brenda> they are gorgeous looking when someone knows how to do the right colors like lory

<RubberRabb> if she misses some of your good hints

<evo> lol, RR

<RubberRabb> we can just sit around here and make sure none of us says shit until she gets back and can say it herself

<CrowFeathe> then you glue the triangle on a card front/

<CrowFeathe> ?

<Lory> i promise not to say shit

<Lory> yes croy

<Lory> w

<CrowFeathe> ROFL

<Lory> i layered it on a green piece of paper then onto a red card

evo looks up shit in her angel dictionary and doesn't find it :{/

<CrowFeathe> sounds lovely lory!

<brenda> lol evo

<RubberRabb> that's because you're not allowed to say it in here evo

Lory asks isnt that what a dictionary is for...looking up shit

LiBsTeR doesn't say shit, Libster says shee-yit Libster is southern

<CrowFeathe> in "angel" it's called "doodle"

<evo> lol

<RubberRabb> so that you know you can't say shit in here until Janet comes back and says it for everyone

<RubberRabb> doodle?

<CrowFeathe> my little yorkie doodles. he's too cute for well, for the other.

<RubberRabb> can we say doodle in here

<evo> doodley

<RubberRabb> I ate a yorkie once, it was delicious

<evo> doodleyshit is a good word

<LiBsTeR> Oh, RABBIT!

<CrowFeathe> LOL, we are starting to sound like a classroom of second graders when the teacher steps out!

<RubberRabb> yorkie is a candy bar in England

<CrowFeathe> bathroom talk!

<Lory> at work, there is a 27 year old rather large guy who sits near me who says dookey....that is just wrong

LiBsTeR pictures Rabbit smiling a big smile....

<evo> dookey?

<CrowFeathe> very wrong. specially if someone in the room is named Duke.

<evo> dookey is a southern word

<Lory> he is NC country southern

<evo> ka ka is a yankee word

<CrowFeathe> RABBBITTT I HEARD THAT!!1

<Vyx> lol

<RubberRabb> LOL

<LiBsTeR> She-yit is southern

beanjean1> rofl, you all are CRAZY

<evo> lol... evo's gotta pee brbeeeee

LiBsTeR hugs BJ and tells her it will be OK

<RubberRabb> it's like a Snickers bar

<RubberRabb> but with a cookie in there too

<CrowFeathe> ROLFl, Look what we did to evo!!

<RubberRabb> hee hee

<beanjean1> thanks lib, I guess crazy friends are OK to have....

<RubberRabb> poor evo, and she said I could work for her in January too

<CrowFeathe> rabbit you have to stop-- my lil baby is startin' to whine

<RubberRabb> silly pup

<RubberRabb> don't you know yorkies aren't good for yorkshire terriers?

<RubberRabb> chocolate is bad for doggies

<CrowFeathe> <G> hey, he knows when there's a carnivourous rabbit in the vicinty!

<CrowFeathe> vicinity i mean

<Vyx> lol

<CrowFeathe> he's not whining for chocolate, he's scared of rabbit!

<RubberRabb> he just wants to come pick on Drakedog--I know them terriers--they're mean

<sparkle> ok, while janet's gone

<sparkle> who's got more card ideas?

<CrowFeathe> is drakedog a rabbit?

RubberRabbit sighs, ok back to work

<cak> How about doing postcards instead of "real" cards?

<sparkle> That's a good idea...i got a postcard from fiddy

Lory has giving her ONE idea

<CrowFeathe> here's a card idea -- take one yorkie, put red ink on his paws and let him walk all over a card front

<Vyx> Yeah, I got one from Rabbit.

<brenda> janet??????????

<Vyx> think Chico just walked on the keyboard?

<CrowFeathe> janet, you are handing us a line!

<cak> (that was my guess Vyx)

<Janet> i'm back for the minute, probably not for long

<CrowFeathe> lines!

<Vyx> and sat down on the - key.

<Janet> i poured a whole cup of coffee into the keyboard

<brenda> oh noooooooo

<cak> yikes!

<Vyx> oh oh!

<CrowFeathe> wowzer!

<Janet> (and on the floor ona on my desk and on my new cashmere sweater)

<deb> uh oh

<CrowFeathe> so that's what coffee says when it speaks!

<brenda> oh noooooooo

<cak> (well, well,... dammit)

<Janet> so as soon as the keyboard starts to dry out, it probably will stop working

<RubberRabb> shoot

<RubberRabb> eeek

<cak> do you have a back-up?

<Janet> everybody can say shit in my honor

<TheQueen> dang janet

<Vyx> SHIT!

<LiBsTeR> mine did when I spelt coffee

<Janet> oh yeah, i got several

<cak> lol

<evo> I do have a card idea...

<Lory> shit

<CrowFeathe> doodle!

<LiBsTeR> SHE-YIT

<RubberRabb> go soak the cashmere sweater in cool water quick!! shit it will stain!!

<cak> yes evo??

<CrowFeathe> cough it up evo!

<Janet> i'll run it through the dishwasher tonight, it will be back in action by tuesday at latest

<brenda> yes evo???/

<RubberRabb> evo waited until you came back

<Janet> uhhhh I already did that

<beanjean1> the swater janet?

<evo> lol... get out your crack & peel...

<CrowFeathe> LOL!! cashmere in the dishwasher!

<Janet> sweater is in cold water

<beanjean1> in the dishwasher...

<beanjean1> lol

<beanjean1> I hope so

<Janet> (and no the keyboard in the dishwasher)

<Janet> so evo? crack n peel?

<RubberRabb> yes evo? I have some crack and peel

<Janet> got that so far

<evo> k

<CrowFeathe> card idea, cut up one cashmere sweater . . . hey, ever notice, the word "cash" is in cashmere

<cak> (I don't, but I got a Xyron)

Vyx has no clue what crack and peel is

<evo> on your crack & peel?

Janet cries

<TheQueen> my fingernails Vyx

<Lory> sticker paper vyx

<Lory> lol queen

<evo> don't stamp on the front!

<RubberRabb> crack and peel is sticker paper

<Janet> vyx, like a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig avery label

<cak> usually glossy, isn't it?

<RubberRabb> oh, ok

<Vyx> Oh, okay

<CrowFeathe> you bend it and then can pull the paper off the back of the sticky side

<CrowFeathe> ergo, crack, and peel

<RubberRabb> so we have the sticker paper

<Janet> don't stamp on the front?

<evo> also matte crack & peel not just glossy

<RubberRabb> so what do we do with it

<evo> no

<evo> stamp on the wrong side

<CrowFeathe> i've cracked. i've peeled

<Janet> i can NOT stamp good. :)

<CrowFeathe> k, stamped

<beanjean1 has LOTS of both...tell me how to use it PLEASE!

<CrowFeathe> the sticky side??

<evo> the side that you crack & peel

<RubberRabb> after you crack and peel off the backing?

<Janet> the throwaway part?

<RubberRabb> so you stamp on the sticky??

<evo> yes, the throwaway part

<brenda> wow

<evo> no, RR

<RubberRabb> or you stamp on the peel off stuff??

<evo> don't peel... just stamp

<brenda> k

<RubberRabb> ok

<evo> on the wrong side

<evo> got it?

<CrowFeathe> won't it bead up?

<RubberRabb> ok, I assume no words??

<RubberRabb> just pictures?

evo made the mistake of doing this so that's how she discovered this

<cak> lol

<evo> ok

<RubberRabb> some of the best discoveries made by accident

<Janet> what kind of ink?

<evo> so now you've stamped on the "wrong" side of the crack & peel...

<evo> any kind, Janet

<Janet> der, i just figured that out, if it's on the throw away part

<sparkle> ok, we're stamping on the side that says "crack 'n peel"

<sparkle> ?

<sparkle> or the sticky side?

sparkle is MOST confused

<TheQueen> that is different HOW sparkle?

<CrowFeathe> no sticky, just turn the paper over and stamp on the back, no peeling-- yet

<RubberRabb> on the label part that says crack and peel, sparkle

<evo> doesn't say that, Sparkle...

<RubberRabb> mine does

Lory says let me sparkle...

<evo> is just the side that is scored to peel off

<sparkle> ok

<TheQueen> but isn't YET peeled off

Lory boinks queen on the head

<evo> no... not YET peeled off

<evo> so....

<CrowFeathe> poor evo

<evo> after you've stamped on the wrong side?

<CrowFeathe> we're incorrigible

<Janet> (we'll ask her how to tri-fold a piece of cardstock next)

<TheQueen> no that's mr evo, crow

<cak> lol

RubberRabbit sits quietly so evo can finish a sentence without interruption

<CrowFeathe> me too

<evo> Take your evotemplates and score more shapes

<evo> then peel

<CrowFeathe> mofre shapes? than what?

<CrowFeathe> more i mean

<evo> then sprinkle the sticky parts you peel with glitter

<CrowFeathe> there are shapes already?

<evo> lol

<CrowFeathe> i'm corn fuzelled

<Janet> but but but i just throwed away my stamping?

<evo> nlo

<evo> no

<Vyx> Oh, like a template around what you stamped, and just peel off around the stamped bit.

<evo> you didn't throw away your stamping...

<evo> yessss....... Vyx!

<Vyx> I understand. I don't have any crack and peel, but I think I understand.

<CrowFeathe> geeze another genius

<CrowFeathe> <G>

<evo> lol, yep Vyx must be a genius

<brenda> so it will be sticky around where we stamped?

<CrowFeathe> splain it to this idjit

<evo> yes, Brenda

<brenda> ok got ya

<brenda> yippie

<RubberRabb> ok, so we stamp on the wrong side of our sticker paper, score around the design, use our templates to cut shapes into the area around that and peel off and sprinkle glitter?

<brenda> i understood this

<evo> yes, RR

<CrowFeathe> i'm in the corner now, sucking my thumb

<brenda> neat idea

<RubberRabb> but my sticker paper actually SAYS 'crack and peel

<RubberRabb> in pink ink on the back

<CrowFeathe> well, my claw anyway

<Vyx> oh well.

<RubberRabb> since crack and peel is the brand name

<evo> lol, RR... then you have the wrong sticker paper

<CrowFeathe> score is to cut, right?

<brenda> you need actual labels then

<Vyx> I guess you need sticker paper that is blank on the back.

<RubberRabb> I guess I'll have to go find some PLAIN sticker paper, LOL

<brenda> cause they dont have anything on them

<evo> score is to cut, yes, CrowF

<CrowFeathe> you just cut off the remainder of the backing then?

<Vyx> Crow, yeah, but you don't want to cut thru all the layers, just the backing.

<Vyx> Hi Judy

<Judy> Hello

<evo> Cut just thru the backing

<evo> Heyyyyyy, Judy

<CrowFeathe> put since this backing is in strips more or less, don't i now have a design in say, a diamond but it has strip lines through it?

<Janet> brb

<Judy> Sorry to be late

<RubberRabb> s'ok Judy, we'll only slap you with the trout

<RubberRabb> LOL

<CrowFeathe> or am i stamping small on one of the strips and using a small evo template perhaps?

<evo> Well, yeah, CrowF... but you just peel the good parts

<CrowFeathe> so i don't have the strip lines?

<cak> (and you thought it would be simple evo)

<CrowFeathe> rofl!

<evo> lol, cak

<Vyx> It is pretty simple, just hard to describe easy

<cak> true==often the case in chat

<CrowFeathe> just peel the good parts . . . hmmnnn . . . well, doesn't the good part have the design on it?

<Judy> We update our computer and it has taken me a while to get hooked back up ,say one hour.

<sparkle> I think you'd better send me one so I can see it Evo.

<CrowFeathe> mebbe i need to go for a nap first <g>

<CrowFeathe> evo, put one on your website, perhaps?

<evo> yep, Crow... I need to do that +

<CrowFeathe> is the back of your crack and peel all in one piece perhaps?

<CrowFeathe> not stuck on in just strips like mine?

<evo> the other 101 things I need to do ;}>

<Scout> yes, yes, on the web site as my brain is mush and I still have to watch 3 hours of iceskating.

<brenda> another easy card is glitter lace cards

<CrowFeathe> LOL! right, I fergot about all that stuff!

<RubberRabb> Ah, now glitter lace cards I understand easier

<RubberRabb> LOL

<evo> My crack & peel is in 3/4" strips, I think

<CrowFeathe> thanks evo, i bet it sinks in once i actually have the crack and peel in my hands and inked up

<RubberRabb> and I could use that crack and peel that says crack and peel

<evo> But... you don't gotta crack & peel where the scores are..

<CrowFeathe> and is your template fitting just on the 3/4 strip then?

<evo> You can create your own scores

<cak> could you use powdered pearls instead of glitter? (on the glitter lace card)

<Vyx> Crow, no, think of a shape over a number of strips. Score around that shape, and peel off outside of your stamped area.

<brenda> i dont know cak

<CrowFeathe> k.

<evo> thanks, Vyx

<Vyx> You'd want to cut it to size first

<RubberRabb> I would suggest you start with the powdered pearls and then go to glitter

<brenda> would be interesting to try

<Scout> describe glitter lace, please, please.....

<CrowFeathe> thx evo!

<RubberRabb> oh scout real easy

<RubberRabb> peel the back off your sticker paper

<RubberRabb> put down a real doiley

<cak> (yes, thanks evo--especially for fielding all our questions)

<brenda> take a large label or sticker paper

<RubberRabb> and sprinkle on glitter

<brenda> peel backing and stick lace to it

<brenda> to the sticky side

<RubberRabb> tap off excess, remove lace, and put another glitter color on the remaining sticky

<brenda> sprinkle one color of glitter to it

<Vyx> wow that sounds really pretty

<brenda> it is gorgeous and easy

<Vyx> It'd be like snowflakes

<RubberRabb> looks best if you do white and a color

<brenda> use different laces

<RubberRabb> so that you don't get too much stuff going on the same page or too close of shades or colors

<brenda> just make sure to rub the lace down good

<Scout> Now I remember,,,haven't tried it but seen it. Thanks.

<RubberRabb> yeah--goes fast

<RubberRabb> and it doesn't hurt your doiley

<RubberRabb> just don't use a paper doiley

<evo> The lace thingy is good, too

<Vyx> Hey, I could combine Evo's and that... put lace around the edges of the peel and crack, and do glitter

<RubberRabb> you'll never get it off again!!

<RubberRabb> unless you want a paper doiley in the middle of it all.. LOL

<cak> (well, at least you'd have your white)

<Lory> you can get those plastic placemats that look like doileys

<brenda> you can also use those plastic ones from dollar store

<brenda> with snowflake designs for the holidays

<Vyx> Is there an echo in here? :)

<evo> Vyx? gonna help us in our booth in Grapevine?

<brenda> roflol

<cak> good idea. nice and sturdy and easy to clean

<Vyx> If I can, Evo, sure.

<Lory> i got some cheap at walmart after christmas last year

<Scout> Sticker paper and I don't mix. I keep buying it, then it gets put with all my papers and when I want it, I can never find it, so I go out and buy more and the same thing happens all over again.

<Lory> great minds vyx

<Vyx> I certainly can't shop all of both days. (I'll run outta money)

<TheQueen> scout, buy some, send it to me, and i'll sned you some when you need it

<brenda> lol queen

<Vyx> lol

<RubberRabb> good idea queen

<evo> My discovery was the opposite...

<TheQueen> us Kansans are smart

<Scout> That probably would work. When i go to the BIG stamp store, they are going to go thru this stuff and wonder why I needed all the sticker paper.

<Janet> i'm back again

<RubberRabb> Scout, why don't you get a paper box and start keeping your sticker paper in there

<evo> I thought I put cardstock in demo bag..,.

<Janet> (moved the wrong way and about a cup of coffee went pouring onto my lap

<RubberRabb> is your keyboard ok

<evo> but had put crack & peel in

<RubberRabb> is your sweater ok??

<TheQueen> is janet okay?

<Lory> janet, dont drink and chat

<Scout> RR, I have so many boxes I'm being crowded out of my house.

<Janet> it is right now. and it will be again when it goes through the dishwasher

<Lory> or chat nekkid and nothing gets ruined

<RubberRabb> oh, I sent a box to Libster, so I have room for a box

<Janet> i don't know, i need to chcek it after class

<RubberRabb> just send it to me, scout! LOL

<LiBsTeR> LOL, Rabbit

<Janet> i'm in a sleep shirt with coffee in my shoes right now

<LiBsTeR> out with the old, in with the new!!!

<brenda> roflol

<Janet> (this was a 32 oz mug of coffee)

<TheQueen> pleeeeeeeeeez don't chat nekkid

<Vyx> Egads

<RubberRabb> WHAT are you putting in the dishwasher, Janet??

<Janet> my keyboard

<RubberRabb> your sweater??

<TheQueen> her cashmere sweater

<Vyx> lol

<RubberRabb> ?????

<TheQueen> (okies, can't take 'em anywhere)

<Janet> no no no, the sweater is in the washer on gentle with cold water

<Janet> my keyboard will be going in the dishwasher

<deb> kik

LiBsTeR is confused

RubberRabbit queenie gets a smart slap with the frozen trout

<RubberRabb> why will your keyboard go in the dishwasher??

<TheQueen> NOW whatcha gonna eat for supper rabbit? <G>

<RubberRabb> won't that get damaged?

<TheQueen> Rabbits....the OTHER white meat <G>

<Vyx> Rabbit, didn't you know you can wash keyboards?

<Janet> because it was flooded with coffee and eventually the oils will ruin the keyboard

RubberRabbit hands trout to Libster to take care of queenie for her

<Janet> you can wash keyboards

LiBsTeR stands in front of her mentor, willing to lay down her bunny life for Rabbit

LiBsTeR slaps TheQueen around a bit with a large trout

<RubberRabb> I didn't know you could wash keyboards

<Janet> you can shower with them too, but I prefer the dishwasher, I think it does a better job

Lory says watch it queen thats my daughter rabbit.

<Vyx> Yeah, and safer...

<LiBsTeR> How romantic!!

<Janet> NO SOAP

<Judy> water ruined my keyboard

Vyx pictures people taking the whole computer into the shower...

<Lory> save the showering with for other things

<LiBsTeR> A shower with a keyboard- is that what they mean by internet romance????

<deb> what about the cord?>

<Janet> then let it dry completely bone dry

<Janet> oh. you do unplug it from the computer

<TheQueen> instead of wet dreams she has wet chat

<Scout> You mean you just stick the keyboard in there....doesn't water ruin it? Or is this the word of a browncolored nekked lady sitting in from of her computer.

<deb> um yes but there is still a cord

<Janet> the cord is just fine, make sure it doesn't get down into the guts of the dishwasher

<beanjean1> Evo, LOVE the song BTW

<Janet> water won't ruin it.

<Janet> using it when it is wet may, though

<Vyx> Yeah

<evo> lol, BJ... thanks

<RubberRabb> ok, dh just said that it would be better to ruin it in a dishwasher than to let the coffee dry in the keyboard

<Vyx> rotf

<Scout> Or I should say, brown coffee colored from the hips down.

<RubberRabb> he just nodded and said, yep, run that sucker through

<LiBsTeR> that is optimistic sounding....

<RubberRabb> will wonders never cease?

<TheQueen> Using it while wet and you won't CARE if it works or not

<RubberRabb> my dh and Janet agreeing?!

<Janet> yep, soon as class is over I'm going to go dishwasher it. and it will not ruin it. I've dishwashered many keyboards

<Vyx> Beer isn't good for keyboards either.

<Janet> now THAT part is sorta scary<g>

<evo> BJ? Sing it... loud and clear!

<CrowFeathe> there's another card over on gingerwood-- looks like a tree shape cut into the card front and you can see glitter paper behind, looking like it's the tree bec. of the shape

<CrowFeathe> looks simple to do

<Janet> I love thjat song too. it's sung to the tune of walking round in womebn's underwear

<Vyx> I gotta go now, been sitting up for too long.

<Janet> vyx??

<brenda> bye vyx

<Janet> what's wrong?

<LiBsTeR> bye Vyx!!!

<Vyx> Back bugging me.

<Janet> oh no. well, go lay down and take it easy!

<CrowFeathe> i guess one could cut the shape small into the front and then just mount a small triangle of glitter paper on the inside message part and write the merry christmas around it.

<RubberRabb> night vyx

<deb> we have a back bugging club here LOL

<Vyx> Seems like every weekend it's something, this weekend it's my back.

<beanjean1> oh Vyx FEEL better!

<RubberRabb> lie down and watch a nice movie

RubberRabbit hugs vyx gently

<Vyx> thanks all, g'night!

<LiBsTeR> We sure do, Deb

<cak> ight vyx

<TheQueen> Deb we tried to go to crown center this late afternoon

<Janet> i still think my hologram EP'd snowflake is the most awesome card I made

<Scout> Take a heat pad with you. Or a hot water bottle. It will feel much better.

<deb> dh is in KC christina

<TheQueen> there was NO parking in either of the two HUGE parking garages

<TheQueen> oh what for deb?

<cak> that tone-on-tone is soooo elegant

<deb> parkl hill wrestling tourney

<deb> then they are going to the Chiefs game tomorrow

<CrowFeathe> well, h just came in , wants this puter so, it's goodbyesville for me . . . thanks for all the great ideas folks! I'm off to try that crack and peel, evo!
