<MomCat> I heard a rumor that class tonight is last minute gifts
<StudioBeau> Gifts for what?
<MomCat> Janet!
<Janet> howdy
<Janet> This class is for the times when you need a present to give, you want it to be special, and you just don't have time to locate and ship a voting booth.
<CindyC is all ears
<Janet> Well, the reason I wanted to do this class was to get good ideas from all of you. :)
<Janet> Hey Kriz
<Kriztina> hi janet
<Janet> Maggie B showed hers to the list today, and that was a great idea!
<MaggieB> i gave out mine on the list this afternoon janet you already saw it
<MaggieB> lol
<Janet> LOL.
<MaggieB> great minds thinking alike
<MaggieB> at the same time
<CindyC> hey i even cheated on cookies due to time.. bought those butter cookies in the tin and dipped in melted white choc. for a bit of homemade touch.. lol
<Janet> Did everybody see Maggie B's special ornaments?
<Scout> no
<Janet> Good plan, Cindy!
<CindyC> no!
<cak> nope--url?
<CindyC> i wanna see!
<Janet> Maggie, what was that URL?
<MaggieB> http://www.dm.net/~maggieb/ornaments.html
<StudioBeau> i'm behind on my email -- must look!
<MaggieB> there you go
<MaggieB> [thought that might be the next question] LOL
<CindyC> cool works on this puter without knocking me off....
<MaggieB> hey lib
<beanjean> hi everyone
<LiBsTeR> Hi
<LiBsTeR> forgot about class, watching a movie!!
<LiBsTeR> sorry!
<CindyC> gj maggie!!!
<Scout> Pretty, pretty ornaments, Maggie
<LiBsTeR> url, please???
<Janet> And I was thinking, for most people, a box or an ornament or a cookie tin or lots of things, with their name on it, that makes a very special and treasured gift.
<CindyC> hey lib and unky jack
<MaggieB> its called hubby is laid off so i made them
<cak> what a wonderful idea!
<StudioBeau> MaggieB!!!! Those are awesome!
<bunty> tada!
<MaggieB> i make an ornament every year for my kids
<MaggieB> http://www.dm.net/~maggieb/ornaments.html
<Janet> http://www.dm.net/~maggieb/ornaments.html
<MaggieB> this year i made instead of buying
<MaggieB> whipped those up
<MaggieB> and personalized them
<cak> that makes them all the more special
<MaggieB> i think so
<StudioBeau> Those are keepers!
<CindyC> i had planned to do a tic tac toe game for my neice and nephew with the glass marbles and their faces beneath, but forgot..... *†*
<StudioBeau> I'
<MaggieB> what a great idea cindyc!
<StudioBeau> oops
<Scout> Oh, thats a cute idea, Cindy.
<StudioBeau> I've not bought anything either
<MaggieB> birthdays instead
<CindyC> thx maggie.. thought of it durring one of brenda's classes
<MaggieB> so you still have time
<Janet> Well, this afternoon I made "yard crosses" for the priest I fight with all year. I think he'll like it (and the price was right)
<CindyC> true
<MaggieB> yard crosses??
<StudioBeau> I bought some blank puzzles at Utrecht Art and stamped them . .
<CindyC> fight with???
<CindyC> sounds interesting... g
<CindyC> hey bb!
<brenda> hello everyone
MaggieB passes around the freshly ironed pizzelles
<brenda> i made it
<beanjean> hey I saw a tictac toe game in a cd case that was cool
<MaggieB> what are yard crosses?
<CindyC> yum
<Lory> did you get it fixed brenda
<brenda> had to call tech support
<Janet> yeah, I had sheets of brass that I used a torch to cut out crosses out of (so they're uh sort of primitive looking)
<UnkyJack> ty maggie, they're delish
<brenda> hopefully lory
<beanjean> yes what are yard crosses
<brenda> what did i miss?
<CindyC> how big?
<StudioBeau> yes what are yard crosses
<CindyC> one or a set?
<beanjean> wow janet you used a TORCH?
<Janet> and the heat did that color thing on the metal. and I decorated them with solder shavings (that were silver and copper)
<MaggieB> janet? WHAT are yard crosses???
<MaggieB> sounds like a KKK thing! lol
<Janet> well, something I made up for them to stick in their gardens
<beanjean> wow
<StudioBeau> anything like yardarms? yard sales?
<MaggieB> ohhhhh
<beanjean> did you take a pic
<MaggieB> garden crosses
<MaggieB> sounds cool
<MaggieB> i would be dangerous with a torch
<Janet> and soldered them onto metal poles, about three feet tall (the poles) the crosses are about 10" tall
<MaggieB> wow!
<CrowFeathe> dang! did I miss anything?
<Janet> But anybody who would like to put a religious icon in their garden would probably like one
<beanjean> cool ornaments maggie
<Janet> or you could do other shapes.
<MomCat> Janet, what or whom did you burn while using the torch?
<MaggieB> thanks bj
<Janet> a cross was about my skill level for cutting freehand with a torch
CindyC still wants to know about the priestly fight..... g
<MaggieB> stars and moons would be cool
<Janet> believe it or not, I didn't burn anything.
<CrowFeathe> late, any website?
<MomCat> Not even yourself?
<Janet> (but the torch is still new, you KNOW I'll be burning something up soon)
<MomCat> YAY!!!
<MaggieB> irregular stars and cresent moons
Lory thinks putting a cross in her yard in her nieghborhood might not be a good thing
<Janet> LOL Lory
<Janet> well, make sure it's not burning
<Scout> Gosh, you could have cooked supper at the same time, you know, hold the meat in back of the cross so it could get the overlap!
<MaggieB> crow janet is telling about her crosses she made... and i showed my personalized ornaments at http://www.dm.net/~maggieb/ornaments.html
<Janet> These turned out really cool. I was pleased. And sheet metal is cheap
<MomCat> How big are these crosses?
<CrowFeathe> thx!
<CindyC> should take a picture
<Janet> about 10" the cross part. the metal pole is about 2-3" tall
<CindyC> very thoughtful of you Janet
<MomCat> You could cut shapes for wind chimes?
<Janet> i meant to. I caught this cold and I'm not thinking or remembering anything much
<CindyC> now that is good mc
<Janet> oh yeah, wind chimes would be cool.
<JingleChel> what are we learning that I'm late for?
<brenda> maggie what did you make the ornaments out of?
beanjean is working on stamped scrapbook pages for her neice
<brenda> hey chele
<MaggieB> clinkits
<JingleChel> howdy, bren
<Janet> and actually the real decoration of them was an accident on the first one, I was soldering it to the pole and of course got drips where I didn't want them
<paperpushe> Chele!!
<JingleChel> pushy!!
<paperpushe> lol
<CrowFeathe> great ornaments, maggie! do they hang from the wrapped around wire, or is there something attached to the top?
<Janet> so I shaved more chips all over the cross and melted those, too, and called it decoration
<MaggieB> hook at top
<beanjean> rofl
<MaggieB> just like suncatchers
<Janet> I love those ornaments.
<MaggieB> class log is there
<MaggieB> you can make them too!
<MaggieB> still time
<cak> cool Janet (and Maggie too)
<cak> the universe telling you to add more stuff to your crosses
<MaggieB> thanks, didn't know i was going to be part of class, lol
<Janet> LOL you shoulda known.
<CrowFeathe> could you say how you made the hook-- is it out of the same wire, and what glue did you use to attach it?
<Janet> Everybody is part of class. Who else has an idea for a quick and easy and cool last minute gift?
<MaggieB> wire
<MaggieB> directions are in the class log
<Clair> money
<cak> How easy would it be to put magnetic sheeting on the back of the glass pieces--would it hold the weight?
<b29651> did deb tell about her star ornament/
<MaggieB> might cak
<Janet> I got a deb star ornament!! It is sooo cool!!
<MaggieB> but tranlucency would be gone
<b29651> it really is neat
<CrowFeathe> thanks, maggie
<MaggieB> http://www.dm.net/~maggieb/suncatcherclasslog.html
<b29651> so pretty and delicate looking
<deb> it's just a wooden star
<deb> painted with lumiere
<MaggieB> make them same way but leave off bottom
<b29651> i8t is a gorgeous star
<Janet> There's a page with the Deb star ornament on it, I have to find it.
<cak> yeah, but if you're gonna put it on anything, you're gonna lose the translucency anyway--oh!
<deb> and then stamped with memories (same color)
<deb> and wrapped with wire and beads
<deb> simple
<deb> fast
MaggieB was trying to paint her nails! LOL
<deb> cool
<cak> you mean the clink=its, I'm thinking the half-marbles of glass
<Janet> it's beautiful. let me find the url for the star
<MaggieB> cak you mean me?
<MaggieB> the ornaments are clinkits
<MaggieB> they are good sized
<cak> yeah--but I'm thinking of making magnets of the half-marbles
<MaggieB> ohhhh
<MaggieB> either would work
<StudioBeau> My last minute solution is to do New Years' presents instead!!
<b29651> the half marbles are real neat for magnets
<Janet> ah HA! found it! See Deb's star ornament on this page http://www.cyberstampers.com/class/holiday/
<deb> it's kinda hard to see the matte ink stamped on the lumiere
<Janet> Oh yeah! Brenda's push pins!!
<deb> but I think if you look real hard you can
<paperpushe> oh deb!
<Janet> hey stacie
<cak> I love that tone-on-tone look!
<meanmom> hi Janet
<b29651> yes deb they are gorgeous
<deb> thanks
<b29651> hey shannon
<CrowFeathe> I've been thinking that bookmarks are a good last minute gift. Make a group of maybe 6-- I might do that for my sisters, won't see them til new years so still some time.
<Shannon> hey hey
<brenda> yes crow
<deb> yeah the tone on tone reminded me of brocade
<meanmom> url?
<Shannon> what's the class tonite?
<Janet> bookmarks are a great idea. Or a good way to make personal a gift of the paperback you quick picked up in the grocery store
<brenda> http://www.cyberstampers.com/class/holiday/
<Janet> last minute gift ideas
<Shannon> oohhhh goodie
bunty looks
<brenda> that star doesnt show true beauty on web
<CindyC> magnet frames for the fridge?
<brenda> it is gorgoeus in preson
<deb> ty brenda
<Janet> oh good idea! magnet frames!
<CrowFeathe> like your starts deb. Are they instructions somewhere for the other ornaments? I'd love to know how the madonna and child and the saint ones are made.
<Janet> that star is so beautiful.
<StudioBeau> ditto the star!
<deb> oh that one isn't mine CrowFeather
<deb> not sure w ho did the madonna
<Janet> oh the madonna? stamp on a piece of heavy cardstock. paint gold lumiere paint around the halos.
<brenda> another good last minute idea is stamped tissue applied to candles
<CindyC> i did the ceramic tiles as magnets for Christmas party favors this year
<brenda> then hang wire and beads around it
<Lory> oh yeah janet, i made trees for people at work and their names written in wire
<deb> yep you can wrap wire round damn near anything > )
<brenda> oh neat lory
<cak> lol
<Janet> OOO I bet they loved those, Lory. Did they?
<CindyC> kewl lory
<CrowFeathe> thanks, janet, at first i thought the madonna/child was on tin, you know, with the outline stamped in brown and then the lines pushed out from behind and then the gold halo effect added. so could be done that way too.
<Shannon> their names written in wire??? i have to hate you.
<Lory> the names i had to put a stop too...i was making girlfriends, kids, etc
<Janet> LOL
<deb> lol
<Lory> you hate me already, pfft
<brenda> lol
<deb> lory - do you have pics??
<Shannon> oh yeah
<Janet> Jean, they look real impressive from a distance, but it's just stamped with a bit of metallic paint on the halos
<deb> sounds neat
<deb> sounds ike a CLASS
<brenda> yes deb
<Janet> it DOES sound like a class!
<Lory> lalallalalalala
<brenda> it does
<brenda> sign her up
<brenda> roflol
<Clair> and how was the tiny crescent moon made?
<deb> lol
<CrowFeathe> hey I never actually made one!
<Lory> i dont have pics yet...have to do neices so i will try to remember to scan...
<CrowFeathe> oh lorys wire. whew!
<Janet> (the saint was stamped on acetate and gold leafed on the back)
<deb> the wire star at the bottom of that page was made by my rubbermum jhone
<CrowFeathe> thx, janet!
<deb> thanks lory
<Janet> Deb made that crescent moon, Deb, that was dough or polyclay?
<deb> clay
<deb> stamped and colored
<deb> and glittered
<Janet> painted how?
<CrowFeathe> brb
<Clair> there is a little moon under the big silver star. Do you know how they made that one?
<deb> markers
<Clair> oh, ok
<Clair> I love it
<Janet> Polymer clay (Fimo, etc.) is great for a lot of stuff
<Clair> how did you get the moon details? A rubber stamp?
<deb> yes stamp
<Clair> oh
<Clair> pretty
<deb> ty
<Clair> and you painted it with markers? What kind of markers? metallic markers?
<deb> no just regular markers
<Clair> watercolor markers?
<Clair> like marvey's?
<Janet> like Marvey type markers? that's just beautiful.
<deb> yes
<Clair> I didn't know they would work on clay and over glitter and all that
bunty is trying to write down a list of things he needs
<Clair> it seems like they would just rub off
<deb> you can also paint them
<deb> these were varnished over the top
<brenda> lol bunty isgetting hooked
<Clair> well, it is pretty
<brenda> wow deb is an awesome artist
<deb> ty
<deb> roflol
<Clair> do you know who makes that rubber stamp, Deb?
<deb> yeah right
<deb> um rubberstampede
<Clair> thanks
<deb> yw
<Janet> Hey Miss Muffett! Long time no see, you yeller dog.
<miss_muffe> is there a sample some place?
<CindyC> have you all seen the glittered jeans the kids are wearing? i was thinking of stamping washable glue on jeans then pouring on the glitter for my dd... like silver stars etc.
<Janet> http://www.cyberstampers.com/class/holiday/
<miss_muffe> been in a bunker. lol.
<deb> does the glitter stay on?
<Clair> has anyone done that thing where you pour acrylic paints into a clear glass ball ornament and then switl it, maybe add glitter and so forth?
<deb> yes
<deb> there are pics on that page clair
<cak> yeah! I learned it from deb and Janet
<CindyC> it would if you used washable glue
<Clair> are there any tips you have? I tried it and made a big mess
<cak> although we used the glass paints
<Clair> oh
<Clair> glass paints
<Clair> like transparent paints
<deb> I used
<cak> (I think everyone makes a mess though)
<deb> some metal craft paints on mine
<brenda> lumineires work for that doesnt it?
<Clair> well, when I swirled, I got a nasty muddy thing
<CindyC> isn't the trick supposed to be to turn just a little every few minutes or so?
<deb> those are the blue/gold ones
<Janet> Oh! if you wash out your ornament with alcohol (just plain old rubbing alcohol) first, the paint sticks!
<deb> you hae to be careful swirling
<deb> or vinegar
<Janet> and you still have to rotate it every 30 minutes or so but the paint sticks better
<Clair> next to the green ball, you have one red one that looks marbled
<Clair> it is wonderful
<deb> AND DON'T PUT BBs IN IT TO STIR THE PAINT
<Janet> that's just two colors swirled together
<deb> let me look clair
<Clair> because why?
<Janet> LOL and yes! don't put BBs in to stir the paint
<CindyC> lol
<MaggieB> lol deb
<Clair> those are really pretty
<Janet> (they break the ornament with paint all over you)
<deb> lol
<MaggieB> deb learned the hard way, what, 3 times deb???
<brenda> hey bj
<MaggieB> lol
<cak> lol--because deb is generous with her hard-won knowledge
<Clair> I have more glass ornaments but I want to know how before I ruin them too
<deb> um yes
<deb> I learn the hard way
<brenda> hey miss muffet
<deb> I did a whole doz3en
<MaggieB> we love you just the way you are deb
<brenda> missed seeing you come in
<miss_muffe> hey brenda
<deb> see that blue and gold one
<Clair> so, glass paints or metal craft paints work better than acrylics
<deb> those are made with galleryglass gold leading
<Clair> yes, I see it
<deb> and blue metal craft paint
<Clair> the kind in a squeeze bottle?
<beanjean> hi again
<Clair> the leading?
<deb> the leading is really thick - yes in a bottle
<Janet> the glass paints you can see through and yeah, the kind in the squeeze bottles
<Clair> so, how did you do it exactly?
<brenda> where do you get it deb?
<beanjean> could I please have deb's url again?
<deb> but I didn't want it to be translucent on that one so I used the metalcraft paint
<Janet> http://www.cyberstampers.com/class/holiday/
<brenda> http://www.cyberstampers.com/class/holiday/
<deb> hobby lobby or michaels
<brenda> ok ty
<miss_muffe> gallery glass is by Plaid and michaels sells it
<Janet> yep
<MomCat> I wonder what would happen if you put a couple of colors of paint in and then took a straw and blew into it?
<deb> and I think the metal craft paints are called Metal Craft
<brenda> hey studio
<Janet> I did one with Lumiere paints this year (one of the ones I'd done with glass paints last year and the paint fell out on one side) and those work fantastic!
<miss_muffe> come on over i have tons of it.
<deb> I've done t hat - it works good
<StudioBeau> howdy again
<MaggieB> the paint fell out??
<Clair> so you squeeze the GG into the ball and then add the blue metal craft and swirl it?
<deb> use a straw to move the paint to where you want it
<cak> How much paint do you put in to begin with?
<deb> yes that's what I did clair
<deb> not a lot
<deb> added more as needed
bunty needs more ornaments to look at
<Janet> about a quarter sized puddle
<brenda> how do you use a straw by blowing?
<deb> you don't want too much
<deb> cause it takes a while to dry inside
<deb> position the straw above a spot of paint you want moved around
<cak> (I used too much the first time--took *forever* to drain)
<brenda> ok
<brenda> ty
<deb> styrafoam cups work great to drain them
<Clair> oh, you turn it upside down and drain out any excess paint?
<deb> or even soda cans
<brenda> yes clair
<deb> yes
<Clair> well
beanjean says thanks
<Clair> I didn't know that either
<Lory> http://www.locksmithdeals.com/wire.jpg
<deb> they are really fun once you get into making them
<Lory> ok i did my name to show ya...sorry
<Janet> Oh wow, Lory!
<brenda> oh lory that is neat
<deb> I LOVE that lory
<deb> what guage did you use?
<MaggieB> oh wow lory!
<Lory> can you believe i actually found the wire
<MomCat> Lory, that is AWSOME!!
<MaggieB> i love the name
<Lory> i think that is 20 or 22
<StudioBeau> here's a last minute thingy I did last night -- still plan to personalize the center, and "tart" it up with some lumiere paint http://home.earthlink.net/~annepeterson/PUZZLE.JPG
<MomCat> AWESOME even
<cak> would be fabulous--and very versatile
<MaggieB> did you just freehand it lory?
<StudioBeau> Lory, that's WONDROUS!!
<Lory> yes
<Clair> Ok, Lory..how did you affix the wire to the ornament or was just the wire name the ornament itself?
<Janet> whoa I love that puzzle, too.
<Lory> just the name
<deb> oh that's cool too
<Clair> neat
<Lory> you could bend it and hook the curly to the top of the ornament
<deb> how did you get it bent so smoothly
<brenda> studio that is neat
<MaggieB> any tricks to doing it Lory???
<StudioBeau> Lory ... does that take A LOT of practice?
<Clair> now what is the puzzle within a puzzle?
<StudioBeau> tx b
<Lory> stay away from anything with a small "t"
<Janet> LOL
<MaggieB> lol lory
<MaggieB> so.... how did you get it soooo smooth???
<Clair> is the puzzle itself the present?
<cak> cool StudioBeau! (looks like the AAS plate)
<MaggieB> i love the puzzle too
<MaggieB> lory how did you get the letters so smooth?
<Lory> nope not really alot...i taught several people to do it real quick, what they did was write out the name so they could see it
<Clair> what guage of wire did you use?
<Lory> just bend it with your hand
<StudioBeau> yep, it's an AAS "Puzzlebilities" plate. I'm thinking of decorating a small box and putting it in that as a gift?
<Lory> that must have been 20...22 is kind of flimsy
<MaggieB> did you cut the lenght before you started lory?
<Janet> 20 is like the perfect gauge to finger bend and stay sturdy
<MaggieB> i love 20 guage
<Lory> no, they were the sampler pack things of artistic wire...i am not brave enough yet to use it with janet wire
<Clair> I like the puzzle on a puzzle...very clever. Will you break up the puzzle before you give it away?
<StudioBeau> Clair, can't decide. What do you think?
<Lory> i then beat it to harden it
<MaggieB> no, they need to see it first together
<MaggieB> oh with a rubber mallet?
<Janet> depends on how old they are.
<cak> I love the Victorian idea of sending the recipient a piece a day in the maiol
<cak> mail
<StudioBeau> did people really do that?
<MaggieB> never heard of that cak
<MaggieB> so lory was it hard to keep it smooth?
<StudioBeau> how intriguing
<cak> well, that's what I heard (and I'm not *quite* old enough to know from experience)
<MaggieB> lol cak
<deb> roflol
<StudioBeau> ;p;
<beanjean> nice ornaments deb
<StudioBeau> that's lol
<cak> (pretty close though)
<Janet> I think they did. and if the puzzle was for my mom, I'd send it to her broken up. But she's a puzzle freak. (and she would love a personal puzzle)
<deb> thanks bj
<Lory> no maggie and the ones that i messed up, i wrapped 22 guage around it to make it look like the kinks were sposed to be there
<brendab> lol
<MaggieB> around it?
<MaggieB> how around it?
<Lory> like janets tree..
<MaggieB> ???
<beanjean> ok, what was the url to see lory's?
<Clair> yes, I think you should break up the puzzle before you give it away
<Lory> http://www.locksmithdeals.com/wire.jpg
<StudioBeau> yeah, makes it more mysterious
<MaggieB> where can we see the tree?
<Lory> take 2 pieces and wrap around each other
<Clair> I like the one piece a day idea though
<StudioBeau> So Lory --- why is Janet's wire scary?
<Lory> i think it was on the holiday page
<deb> tree?
<MaggieB> oh thats right
<cak> Maybe the last thing to mail might be a picture of the whole puzzle together
<deb> what tree?
<Lory> cause its real
<Clair> if none of the pieces gets lost in the mail
<StudioBeau> I know Janet is scary
<MaggieB> forgot the tree, silly me
<deb> OH janet's tree
<Lory> not cheapo stuff
<Janet> She's sandbagging. It's cheap.
<deb> me to LOL
<Janet> LOL
<StudioBeau> And Janet's tree is probably scary too . . .
<MaggieB> so the inside wire is wrapped with another thinner wire?
<Janet> Hey! Janet's tree is so easy.
<MaggieB> so how do we make it janet?
<StudioBeau> Is it the kind you plug in?
<MaggieB> miz janet i mean
<Janet> LOL
<beanjean> cool lory
<Clair> see that big silver star? Is that wrapped with wire and beads?
<Lory> ty
<Janet> Get about two feet of wire. Bend it into an L shape with about 4" on one side of the L and allll the rest on the other side
<deb> yes clair - jhone made that
<Clair> thanks, Deb
<deb> and clair - she used a cookie cutter for the shape
<Janet> grab the bend with the tips of your pliers and start circling the tips with your wire (then take out the tips so you can really work with it) and keep winding the wire around and around (making sort of a rag rug with the wire, get what I mean?)
<Clair> so what is the star made from? Clay?
<Janet> so you end up with a big coil of wire and about 4" of wire hanging out of the middle straight down
<MaggieB> kinda
<MaggieB> oh ok
<MaggieB> but how is it wrapped?
<deb> which star?
<StudioBeau> gotcha miz janet
<Janet> then hold the 4" and gently tug on the coil, bending it down and that's the tree
<Janet> and the 4" is the trunk
<MaggieB> k
<StudioBeau> oooh I like it I like it I could do that!!
<StudioBeau> if only I had wire
<StudioBeau> if I only had a brain
<Janet> I know where you can get some<g>
<deb> OH I know where you can get WIRE
<deb> LOL
<deb> where janet
<deb> where can we get wire
<deb> where janet
<Janet> LOL at the hardware store if you need it tomorrow.
<Clair> the big silver star, Deb...the one you said Jone made
<StudioBeau> Where, miz janet?
<Janet> (if you need it next week, from me)
<deb> at the bottom?
<deb> it's hollow
<Clair> the one wrapped with the wire and maybe the beads
<Janet> Jhone told how to make that, it's easy too.
<Janet> get a cookie cutter
<Clair> no, the one in the middle of the page
<Janet> star shape, or you can make any shape
<cak> There are two stars, both have wire and beads though!
<deb> OH that's mine
<deb> the one in the middle I made
<Clair> well, I mean the big silver one
<MaggieB> but janet how did your tree get red and green?
<Clair> that's the one I like
<Janet> Oh. I used red and green wire. LOL
<deb> that is white pearl lumaire painted on a wooden cut out
<deb> and then stamped with white memories ink
<Janet> seriously, I used red and green wire that I'd twisted together to form a big wire, because my red and green wire weren't heavy enough gauge
<deb> and then wrapped with gold wire and white silver lined beads
<StudioBeau> White stamped on pearl?
<Janet> these trees work best with about 20-22 gauge
<Janet> (and that wire was 24 gauge)
<deb> yes
<MaggieB> ooohhhh
<StudioBeau> hmmmm
<Lory> yes i did some with 18 and it was hard...trees
<deb> so it givaes it a look of brocade when done
<StudioBeau> ooo la la
<MaggieB> lory said she wrapped her mistake names with wire like you did the tree.....
<MaggieB> you didnt really wrap your inner wire though
<Clair> you make beautiful things, Deb
<deb> why thank you clair > )
<Lory> hers were done on purpose maggie, mine were to fix a fubar
<MaggieB> but you had an inner core of wire lory?
<MaggieB> and wrapped aroundit?
<StudioBeau> let's hear it for Fubars! (a word I haven't heard in a long time . . .)
<Janet> hey Sparkle and Evo
<Lory> yes maggie
CindyC says "good night everyone"
<Janet> Fubars is a way of life for some of us<g>
<evo> Heyyyyyyy, all :}>
<MaggieB> ty lory
<MomCat> night
<cak> N
<MaggieB> night momcat
<brendab> hey evo
