<Holly> HI!

<Holly> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> that's the page that has the directions and pictures on it

<Holly> my daughter did a great job putting it up for me

<Chris> where do we find the samples???

<cak> She did a great job Holly

<Holly> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> actually there is only the one sample, and it's being given away to one of you tonight

<brenda> me

<deb> woo hoo

<brenda> lol

<Sue> wow

<vicki> oooo which one of us??

<Holly> I'm giving all the names to my DD and she's drawing from them later

<deb> don't put mine in holly

<vicki> cool, even chance

<Holly> deb already has a book

<Holly> Hey Gail, you made it!

<deb> : )

<gemr> Hi teach!

<Holly> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Sue> your page makes it look so easy!

<gemr> If this is too complicated, I'm going to need a diagram, you know? :)

<Holly> sue, it is easy

<deb> I told you she made it look easy

<Sue> you were right, Deb

<deb> : )

<Holly> well, I was afraid while typing the directions that I was making it sound harder than it really is

<Sue> so this is something a "newbie" bookmaker can handle?

<LiBsTeR> Hi Lory

<deb> yes

<vicki> hi lory

<Lory> hi

<brenda> hey lory

<Holly> Sue, this is one of the best books to start with because it's so simple

<gemr> Holly! I recognize that napkin! LOL You got that from Barb, didn't you?

<Sue> great

<Holly> no Gail, I bought a whole package of those at Party City

<deb has an envelope here for holly

<deb> they look like wood

<gemr> you're kidding!

Holly is waiting for that envelope

<deb> those are the coolest napkins

<gemr> Barb sent me some of those. LOL

<gemr> They are so pretty. :)

<deb> I really thought this was wood

<deb> there's le janet

<Janet> and there's le deb

<Holly> They are really neat, and like Deb said, they look like wood when you place it on cardboard

<deb> mon ami

<Janet> we're all here for le Holly's class!

<deb> I would have sworn it was wood

<brenda> hey janet

<brenda> kzoo and db

<deb> holly we are ready whenever you are

<deb> everyone please keep conversations to a minimum

<gemr> what looks like wood?

<deb> holly can you put your caps on when you are ready

<deb> this napkins gemr

<Janet> Yes, we are. You can start now because =I= am here. :)

<Chels> Hi Gail...so you made it.

<deb> lol janet

<Chels> Great to see you.

<Holly> gAIL, THE NAPKINS LOOK LIKE WOOD WHEN YOU GLUE THEM TO CARDBOARD

<gemr> ok. Hi Chels! Nice to 'see'you, too, rubbersis! :)

<gemr> oh, yes they do. . . :)

<Holly> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Chels> Looks like a full house for Holly's 1st class.

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<gemr> yeah! Holly! :)

<Holly> THAT IS THE LINK TO THE PAGE THAT HAS THE DIRECTIONS AND THE PICTURES

<Holly> THE BOOK IS REALLY EASY TO DO.

<gemr> it's the holes that look tricky. :)

<Chels> Wow...great directions Holly!

<Holly> YOU CAN MAKE THEM ANY SIZE YOU WANT, BUT I USED WHOLE 8 1/2 X 11 SHEETS FOLDED IN HALF JUST TO MAKE IT EASIER

<brenda> hey vyx

<Chels> Hi Vyx.

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<brenda> hey kriz

<Vyx tries to sneak in late

<Vyx> hiya all

<Holly> THE HARDEST PART OF THIS WHOLE BOOK IS PRINTING WHAT YOU WANT ON THE PAGES, SO MAKING A BLANK BOOK TO USE AS A JOURNAL OR SOMETHING IS USUALLY WHAT I DO <G>

<LiBsTeR> LOL hiya Vys

<Chels> It's all the photos of every step that make your directions so fab!

<gemr> really! Holly, you are a great teacher! :)

<Holly> THANKS CHELS. I TOOK ALL THE PICTURES ALONG THE WAY AND MY DD DID THE PAGE FOR ME

<Chels> I love it!

<deb> tell her she did an excellent job

<brenda> excellent

<Chels> Yes, she did.

<Chris> Do you have other things on your page we can look at later? More books or projects??

<gemr> very good. So . . . whose fingers are we seeing? *g*

<Holly> SO, ONCE YOU KNOW THE SIZE YOU WANT YOUR BOOK TO BE, YOU SIMPLY CUT YOUR PAGES TO ABOUT 1/4 INCH SMALLER THAN THAT

<Chels> I'm a 'if I see it done...I can do it' kind of person...so this is wonderful!

<gemr> I'm a visual learner, too. :)

<Holly> CHELS, YOU CAN SEE MORE BOOKS ON MY PICTURE TRAIL PAGE...I'LL GIVE THAT URL LATER

<Holly> MY FINGERS GAIL!

<Chels> Well, I saw what you had up last night on picture trail Holly.

<gemr> LOL Aha!

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<gemr> Wow! I love the numbered holes! :)

<Holly> SO YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PAPERS FOR YOUR BOOK CUT TO THE SIZE YOU WANT AND ALL PRINTED

<Holly> NOW YOU FOLD THEM IN HALF FOR THE TRADITIONAL JAPANESE BOOK, OR YOU CAN HAVE THE EDGES CUT. IT'S UP TO YOU

<Holly> THE SAMPLE HAS THE PAGES FOLDED SO THE FOLDED EDGE IS THE TURNING EDGE.

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<brenda> hey paper

<Holly> LOL BRENDA...ARE YOU ASKING WHAT KIND OF PAPER?

<gemr> Hey Brenda! :)

<Chels> ME/ says rock - scissors

<Chels> Oops

<brenda> no holly

<deb> she was welcoming paperpusher

<gemr> Just look at all the fun I'd be missing if you hadn't helped me get in here. :)

<brenda> sorry

<Holly> OH! HI PAPERPUSHER!

<Chels> Who helped you get in Gail?

<Sue> but is there a certain paper you prefer?

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<paperpushe> oh Holly!!!

<gemr> Brenda helped me in during the convention. Remember, my first class with Janet?

<brenda> yep

<Janet> I remember :)

<Chels> We should enlist Brenda to help Norma then

<Lynn> Hi. Anyone else have trouble getting in?

<Holly> ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR PAPER FOLDED PLACE THEM UNDER A WEIGHT OF SOME KIND AND FOGET ABOUT THEM WHILE YOU WORK ON THE BOOK COVER

<Chels> No trouble here Lynn

<gemr> Holly, this will be in the transcripts, right?

<deb> yes

<gemr> I'm going to need to print out the instructions . . .

<vicki> it's 9 pages printed

<gemr> OMGosh! You're kidding!

<vicki> :)

<gemr> Maybe I just need to print out the numbered holes diagram . . .

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR MEASUREMENTS FROM CUTTING YOUR PAPER, SO JUST CUT ONE PIECE OF CARDBOARD 1/4" LARGER THAN THE FOLDED PAPER

<deb> shhhhhhhhhhhh

<Janet> 1/4" larger on all sides, or just at the top and one side (so 1/8" larger on all sides)?

<Janet> (I am measurement-impaired)

<Holly> JANET, I CUT ONE PIECE FOR THE BACK 1/4" LARGER THAN THE FOLDED PAPER ALL THE WAY AROUND

<Lynn> Janet can you whisper to me the paper size?

<deb> 8 1/2 x 11

<deb> cut in half

<Holly> FOLDED OR CUT IN HALF

[the logger was momentarily dropped, but assured no information is missing]

<gemr> 1/4" larger all around . .

<Vyx> Or 1/4" larger around 3 sides?

<brenda> who 5 3/4 by 8 3/4

<gemr> right? 5 3/4 x 8 3/4

<Holly> We will add 1/4" to the width of the pages to make the width of the book 4 1/2". We will add 1/4" to the length of the pages to make the length of the book 5 3/4". The back piece will be cut to these measurements.

<Holly> For the front piece, mark out these measurements on to your cardboard, then mark off 3/4" and then 1/8" of an inch. The 3/4" will be the spine of the book, and the 1/8" will be a space that will allow your book to open easily.

<Janet> (NOW I got it.<g>)

<Holly> i COPIED AND PASTED THAT SO IT'S NOT CAPS, BUT THAT HAS THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS

<deb> cool > )

<Holly> WHEN YOU ARE MAKING ONE ANY SIZE, IT'S EASIEST TO LAY YOUR FOLDED PAPER ON THE CARDBOARD AND THEN JUST ADD YOUR EXTRA SPACE AND MARK IT OUT LIKE I DID IN THE PHOTOS

<Holly> ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR FRONT, BACK, AND SPINE PIECES CUT YOU CAN MARK THE SPINE

<Holly> BUT DON'T THROW AWAY THAT LITTLE SPACER PIECE YET YOU WILL NEED IT LATER

<gemr> Did we do the inside pages yet?

<gemr> I now have my 8 1/2 x 11 cut into two pieces.

<Holly> YES GAIL, THEY ARE FOLDED AND RESTING UNDER A WEIGHT

<gemr> oops. sorry, Holly.

<gemr> Can we go over how they're folded again, please?

<Chris> So the front cover will be more flexible than the back, right?

<Holly> YOU HAVE YOUR CUT PIECE, JUST FOLD IT IN HALF

<gemr> so I have a card . . .

<Holly> CHRIS, THE FRONT PIECE WILL HAVE A SPACE BETWEEN THE SPINE AND THE FRONT COVER SO IT WILL OPEN FULLY

<Chris> Right

<gemr> I make as many of these as I want pages?

<deb> yes

<Holly> RIGHT GAIL, A CARD. THE OPEN EDGE OF THE CARD WILL BE AT THE SPINE OF THE BOOK

<gemr> I made some books like this before, with the spacer, but not with the fancy sewing

<Holly> SO IT'S ONLY THE FRONT AND BACK OF ONE PAGE...NOT TWO PAGES

<Holly> OKAY, SO WE ARE READY TO MARK THE HOLE PLACEMENT ON THE SPINE PIECE

<deb> klyes

<deb> please

<gemr> I'm a little slow, but I got it now . . .

<Holly> IN MY DIRECTIONS I GIVE VERY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON GETTING THE HOLES ALIGNED JUST RIGHT, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THAT ANAL ABOUT IT

<gemr> oh, I like to be anal *g*

<Vyx> I love those directions about the holes!

<Holly> YOU REALLY JUST WANT TO FIND THE MIDDLE OF THE SPINE VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY

<LiBsTeR> that template for the holes, is great, Holly

<Holly> I USE A PIECE OF SCRAP PAPER THE SAME SIZE AS THE SPINE PIECE AND FOLD IT IN HALF VERTICALLY SO I HAVE MY MIDDLE MEASURING PLACE BY LAYING IT UP AGAINST THE SPINE

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> YOU FOLD IT VERTICALLY ONCE, AND THEN AGAIN WHILE IT'S STILL FOLDED SO YOU HAVE THREE LINES WHEN IT'S OPENED UP

<Holly> LAY THAT UP AGAINST YOUR SPINE AND MARK THE TWO OUTSIDE LINES ON THE ENDS OF THE SPINE PIECE

<LiBsTeR> Heya Rabbit!

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<brenda> hey RR

<Holly> NOW FOLD YOUR SCRAP PIECE IN HALF HORIZONTALLY AND FOLD IT AGAIN THREE MORE TIMES AND YOU WILL HAVE FIFTEEN FOLD MARKS WHEN IT'S OPENED UP

<Holly> LAY THIS UP AGAINST YOUR SPINE PIECE ALIGNING IT WITH ONE OF THE MARKS YOU JUST MADE AT THE END OF THE SPINE

<Holly> MAKE A MARK ON YOUR SPINE AT EVERY OTHER FOLD LINE. THIS WILL GIVE YOU SEVEN MARKS

<Holly> IS EVERYONE CONFUSED ENOUGH?

<gemr> Yep!

<Chels> No...I think you're explaining stuff great.

<cak> nope!

<Chels> Oh...sorry sis

<cak> perfectly clear

<Holly> OKAY GOOD! NOW YOU LAY YOUR SCRAP PIECE ALONG THE SPINE ALIGNING IT WITH THE OTHER MARK YOU MADE

<gemr> I'll get it when I'm actually doing it . . . I just can't keep up with you guys.

<Holly> THIS TIME YOU MAKE MARKS EVERY OTHER FOLD LINE, BUT MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT THE SAME FOLD LINES AS BEFORE

<Holly> THIS TIME IT WILL BE 8 MARKS

<Holly> SO NOW YOUR SPINE PIECE SHOULD LOOK LIKE THE 8TH PICTURE DOWN ON THE DIRECTION PAGE

<Holly> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> NOW i USE A 1/8 " HOLE PUNCH FOR THE HOLES, BUT YOU CAN USE A NAIL, OR A DRILL OR A THUMBTACK

<Holly> NOW YOU ARE READY TO PUT YOUR PAPER ON THE COVER OF THE BOOK

<gemr> you punch your holes in the covers & the pages separately, right?

<gemr> Hi dbstampin! :)

<Holly> YOU CAN USE WHATEVER PAPER YOU WANT, THE SAMPLE SHOWS A NAPKIN SO I WAS ABLE TO USE GLUE STICK

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> GAIL, YES, YOU DON'T PUNCH HOLES IN THE PAPER YET, JUST THE SPINE PIECE

<gemr> ok. got it.

<Holly> IF YOU ARE USING HEAVIER PAPER OR WALL PAPER YOU WILL HAVE TO USE A HEAVIER DUTY GLUE

<Holly> SMEAR GLUE ALL OVER THE CARDBOARD FOR THE BACK AND CENTER IT OVER YOUR PAPER

<Holly> SMOOTH THE PAPER OVER THE CARDBOARD AND THEN TURN IT OVER SO THE CARDBOARD SIDE IS FACING YOU.

<Holly> YOU NEED TO CUT THE CORNERS AT AN ANGLE AND THEN GLUE DOWN EACH SIDE.

<Holly> NOW YOU ARE GOING TO COVER THE FRONT IN PRETTY MUCH THE SAME MANNER, EXCEPT WE HAVE THE SPINE TO COVER AT THE SAME TIME

<Holly> SO YOU COVER YOUR FRONT CARDBOARD PIECE WITH GLUE AND LAY IT ON THE PAPER, MAKING SURE YOU ARE LEAVING ROOM FOR THE SPINE.

<deb> http://www.ashley-young.com/RST/haiku/index.html

<Holly> YOU ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE THE SPINE PIECE IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE SO LOOK AT HOW YOUR PAPER IS LAYING BEFORE YOU GLUE IT DOWN. THIS IS IMPORTANT IF THER IS A PATTERN ON YOUR PAPER

<yamamama> ty

<Holly> NOW TAKE THAT LITTLE SPACER PIECE YOU SAVED AND LAY IT UP AGAINST THE PIECE OF CARDBOARD YOU JUST GLUED DOWN...ALONG THE SIDE YOUR SPINE WILL BE

<Holly> LEAVE IT THERE AND PUT GLUE ALL OVER YOUR SPINE PIECE AND THEN LAY YOUR SPINE PIECE ON THE PAPER BUTTING IT UP AGAINST THE SPACER.

<Holly> YOU WANT THE 7 HOLES TO BE ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE

<Holly> AFTER YOU'VE GOT THE SPINE DOWN YOU CAN THROW THAT SPACER OUT

<Holly> NOW CUT THE CORNERS AND GLUE DOWN THE SIDES JUST LIKE YOU DID FOR THE BACK

<Holly> NOW YOU CUT TWO PIECES OF WHATEVER YOU ARE USING FOR END PAPERS TO 5 1/2" X 4 1/4"

<Holly> AND YOU GLUE THEM OVER THE INSIDES OF THE FRONT AND BACK COVERS. WHEN YOU GLUE THE ONE TO THE FRONT, USE A BONE FOLDER TO PUSH IT INTO THE AREA THE SPACER LEFT

<Holly> ANY QUESTIONS YET?

<gemr> wow, Holly! You have a lot of patience . . .

<Janet> No, this is scary, I understand that perfectly

<Chels> That is scary Janet. LOL

<Holly> GAIL, IT'S REALLY NOT HARD. I THINK I'M MAKING IT SEEM HARD

<Janet> I generally play the poster child for these classes.

<Holly> OKAY, WELL NOW WE CAN ADD THE PAPER TO OUR COVERS SO WE ACTUALLY HAVE A BOOK!

<vicki> the paper you used is a napkin?

<Holly> YES VICKI. IF YOU USE A NAPKIN MAKE SURE YOU PEEL THE LAYERS APART

<vicki> ty

<Holly> TAKE YOUR STACK OF PAPERS YOU HAVE WAITING FOR YOU UNDER THAT WEIGHT. IF YOU HAVE ANY PRINTING ON THEM MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN THE RIGHT ORDER!

<Sue> how many pages will this book hold?

<Holly> SUE, AS MANY AS YOU WANT TO MAKE

<Sue> ok-thanks

<Holly> HAVE ALL THE FOLDED EDGES TO ONE SIDE AND TAP THE STACK SO THE OPEN EDGES ARE EVEN

<gemr> ah, thanks for that tip, Holly. I wouldn't have thought of separating the layers . *g*

<Holly> YW GAIL

<gemr> well, gee, I have my pages cut, folded, and pressed.

<Holly> NOW, LAY THE STACK OF PAPERS ONTO YOUR BACK PIECE WHICH IS LAYING DOWN WITH THE COVER AWAY FROM YOU AND THE END PAPER FACING YOU

<gemr> Tomorrow I'll have to figure out all this measuring stuff and hole poking. LOL

<Holly> YOU CAN DO IT GAIL

<deb> lmpp09ifgpjkpfxkppb

<deb> nmn

<Holly> CENTER IT VERTICALLY BUT EVEN WITH THE EDGE OF THE BOOK

<gemr> If you say so, Rubberauntie! :)

<deb> sorry dh being goofy

<gemr> LOL I thought it was some kind of secret code, or something. *g*

<Holly> NOW USE A CLOTHESPIN OR A CLAMP OF SOME KIND AND CLAMP THE PAGES TO THE BACK PIECE

<Holly> I THOUGHT IT WAS HER CAT!

<vicki> her cat types better

<deb> lol

<cak> lol

<Holly> ACTUALLY, SCRATCH THAT...HOLD THE PAGES TO THE BACK PIECE AND DON'T LET GO!

<deb> certainly spells better

<gemr> are we holding the pages to the back piece or clamping them?

<Holly> YOU CAN CLAMP THEM IF YOU WANT, BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO UN CLAMP THEM IN A SECOND SO JUST HOLD THEM

<Holly> YOU WANT TO PUT YOUR FRONT PIECE ON SO IT'S EVEN WITH THE BACK AND ALL THE PAGES ARE IN THERE AND HAVEN'T SLIPPED AND NOW CLAMP IT

<Holly> OH, KZOO LEFT AND MY DD JUST TOLD ME SHE'S THE ONE WHO GETS THE BOOK!

<Holly> DOES ANYONE HAVE HER E MAIL?

<Janet> I can try to find it

<Holly> ONCE IT'S CLAMPED YOU CAN DRILL YOUR HOLES.

<Holly> THANKS JANET

<Holly> NOW YOU ARE READY TO SEW THE SPINE. THE EASIEST THING TO DO IS TO LOOK AT MY PAGE AND SEE HOW THE HOLES ARE NUMBERED

<deb> no I have no idea who she is

<Holly> BUT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE THE SEVEN HOLES ON THE LEFT AND THE 8 HOLES ON THE RIGHT

<Holly> AND YOU ARE GOING TO NUMBER THEM 1 THROUGH 15 STARTING ON THE RIGHT AND GOING TO THE LEFT AND BACK AND FORTH

<gemr> so the holes are drilled through the pages and the back cover? (I'm almost afraid to ask . . .)

<Holly> GAIL, YES, YOU DRILL THROUGH THE FRONT, THE PAGES, AND THE BACK

<Holly> YOUR FRONT HAS THE SPINE WHERE YOU PUNCHED THE HOLES, AND EVEN THOUGH YOU COVERED THEM YOU CAN TELL WHERE THEY ARE

<gemr> ah, ok.

<Holly> NOW YOU ARE GOING TO GET A PIECE OF CORD OR WHATEVER YOU ARE USING TO SEW WITH AND HAVE IT TEN TIMES THE HEIGHT OF THE BOOK

<Janet> what's good to sew with?

<gemr> I know i used a big darning needle

<Holly> JANET, I USED EMBROIDERY FLOSS FOR THE SAMPLE, BUT LEATHER LACING IS PRETTY COOL FOR SOME BOOKS

<Holly> IT DEPENDS ON THE LOOK YOU WANT. I'VE SEEN SOME PRETTY ONES DONE WITH RIBBON

<Janet> okay. got it. I even have some of that.

<vicki> jewelry hemp would look cool

<gemr> I have a problem with embroidery thread getting so tangled up.

<gemr> yes, the hemp would be good. and easier for me to deal with. LOL

<Janet> I've used dyed dental floss for stuff before, too

<gemr> OMGosh! Dental floss! that's even teenier than embroidery thread! You girls are good. :)

<Janet> it's pretty strong

<Janet> it doesn't tangle.<g>

<cak> pretty much anything strong enough and small enough to go through the holes a couple of times?

<deb> lol

<Holly> NOW POKE YOUR NEEDLE UP THROUGH HOLE 4 AND GO UP AROUND THE SPINE OF THE BOOK AND THEN GO BACK IN HOLE 4

<Janet> (and I have trouble with getting stuff through the holes so I use one of my bridge threaders)

<Holly> YES CAK IS RIGHT, YOU GO THROUGH THE SAME HOLE SEVERAL TIMES SO YOUR HOLES NEED TO BE BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL THAT THREAD

<Janet> (benefits of having problem teeth)

<Holly> LEAVE A TAIL AT THE END BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE YOU'LL HANG ANY CHARMS OR BEADS THAT ADD SO MUCH!

<gemr> didn't you say you punched with 1/8 puncher? Sounds like a bigger one is needed.

<Holly> GAIL, YOU JUST PUNCHED WITH THAT TO SHOW YOU WHERE TO DRILL LATER

<Holly> YOU DO NEED TO DRILL BIGGER

<Holly> DO YOU NEED ME TO TELL YOU THE SEWING PATTERN OR CAN EVERYONE SEE IT IN THE DIRECTIONS?

<gemr> okay. got it. good idea :)

<Holly> Now here is the sewing pattern: Insert needle from the back in hole #4 and go up toward front of book. Leave at least a 6ä tail and wrap the sewing cord around the spine of the book and re enter hole #4 going up. Now go down into hole #3 and follow the pattern as follows:

<Holly> Up through hole #4

<Holly> Down hole #2

<Holly> Up hole #3

<gemr> No, Holly, we want to hear you say up 1 around the back down 1 around the front , up 2 around the back etc. *ggg*

<Holly> Down hole #2

<Holly> Up hole #1

<Holly> Down hole #2

<Holly> Now go over the top of the spine and come down hole #2

<deb> lol

<Holly> Wrap around spine and go down hole #2

<Holly> LOL

<Holly> BEAT YOU TO IT GAIL!

<cak> lol

<Chels> LOL

<Janet> I love this chart.

<gemr> LOL Yes, you did! You're too quick for me!

<cak> (btw, you don't want your holes too big either--it leads to loosey-goosey bindings)

<gemr> The chart will be a great help.

<Holly> THIS HAS YOU AT THE BOTTOM AND NOW YOU WORK YOUR WAY BACK UP

<Scout> What happened to Capitols?

<Holly> Go up hole #4

<Holly> Down hole #5

<Holly> Up hole #6 - around spine and up hole #6

<Holly> Down hole #5

<Holly> Up hole #4

<gemr> then you put your left leg in and you shake it all about . . .

<Holly> Down hole #10 up hole #8

<Holly> Down hole #6

<Holly> Up hole #4.

<Janet> LOL

<cak> (sounds like a colony of prairie dogs)

<Holly> THAT WAS TOO MUCH TO TYPE IN CAPS FOR THIS CLASS

<Holly> IT WOULD GET REALLY CONFUSING FOR EVERYONE AND I'D FORGET WHERE I WAS

<deb> lol

<Holly> SO THIS WAY IT'S HERE FOR EVERYONE TO READ AT THEIR LEISURE.

<gemr> I'm better at leisure reading. :)

<Holly> NOW THAT YOU ARE BACK AT THE TOP YOU CAN TIE IT OFF AND ADD BEADS OR WHAT EVER TO THE THREADS

<Holly> THE DIRECTION PAGE WITH ALL THE PICTURES WILL BE UP FOR A WHILE AND CAK SAYS SHE CAN ADD THE IMAGES TO THE TRANSCRIPTS TOO

<Sue> yay CAk!

<cak> (thanks to Holly--good pics!)

<gemr> That would be wonderful! Thanks.

<Holly> THE BUCKET BOOK?

<deb> yep

<Janet> Yes, HOlly PLEASE do the pail one for class and paper embroidery too?

<brenda> yes

<Janet> (mebbe not the same class, can you do at least two more classes?)

<deb> OH yes and that paper embroidery

<deb> I love that

<brenda> paper embroidery is so neat

<Holly> I'LL HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THAT DEB. THE PAPER EMBROIDERY I DONT' THINK I CAN DO BECAUSE ALL THE PATTERNS I USE ARE COPYRIGHTED

<brenda> i was looking at some patterns on craft creations site today

<deb> well you could teach us the techninques though

<Janet> Yeah, teach us the techniques.

<deb> maybe we could draw a deesign

<deb> that you could use

<Janet> and I could send you some non-copyrighted designs, too

<Holly> WELL, I DON'T THINK I'VE DONE IT ENOUGH TO TEACH IT

<deb> well we like it

<Janet> needlearts.dm.net has free patterns

<Holly> I'LL THINK ABOUT IT

<deb> where's that?
