Session Start: Thu Jun 27 12:09:26 2002
<brenda> WE ARE SKIPPING THE FIRST SAMPLE
<brenda> AND GOING TO THE NEXT
<brenda> THAT IS CLAY
<InkyWings> oh, I just wondered what it was
<InkyWings> thanks. ;_)
cindyc jumps ahead, wondering where bb got that cute little doll baby
<brenda> I ROLLED IT THRU PASTA MACHINE TO CONDITION IT
<brenda> THEN I PUT MAGIC LEAF ON IT
<brenda> AND RAN IT THRU TWICE MORE
<InkyWings> is that the metallic shining kind of thing?
<brenda> YOU CAN DO THE SAME WITH A ROLLING PIN
<brenda> YES INKY
<InkyWings> ok
<kaye> hello everyone
<sparkle> brenda...evo templates make EXCELLENT clay cutting tools too
<brenda> IT CRACKS THE MAGIC LEAF TO CREATE SOME AWESOME OLD TYPE LOOK WITH SHINE IN IT
<brenda> YES THEY DO SPARKLE
<brenda> HELLO KAYE
<kaye> hi
<brenda> http://www.red-castle.com/gallery/bb2.htm
<brenda> THEN AFTER CRACKING THE MAGIC LEAF I USED A BLACK RANGER 213 INK TO STAMP AN IMAGE
<brenda> I USED PHILS EMBLEM PLATE
<brenda> IT IS PERFECT FOR SO MANY THINGS FOR MEN
<brenda> LIKE KEY CHAINS AND SHRINK PROJECTS
<brenda> THEN I ADDED POWDERED PEARLS TO JUST PARTS OF THE DESIGN I WANTE TO HIGHLIGHT
<brenda> THEN I DONT KNOW IF JHONE STILL CARRIES IT OR NOT
<brenda> BUT I PUT THE CLAY IMAGE AFTER IT WAS BAKED ONTO LOKTA PAPER
<brenda> THEN MOUNTED THAT TO CARDSTOCK
<brenda> I LOVE THAT PAPER
<brenda> SAMPLE 3 IS MADE THE SAME WAY
<brenda> ANY QUESTIONS?
<brenda> AM I STILL HERE?
<InkyWings> yes.. lol
<cindyc> you are here
<brenda> IS ANYONE HERE?
<brenda> K
<brenda> TY
<cak-brb> (kinda)
<kaye> yes
<brenda> LOL
<brenda> OK THE TAGS I DID WERE DONE ON ACETATE
<InkyWings> ok, my cake is ready
<InkyWings> brb
<brenda> I MODIFIED THE DIRECTIONS FOR ME
<brenda> CAUSE I HAVE COLOR PROBLEMS
<brenda> I CANT SEE A LOT OF SHADES
<brenda> SO THIS MADE THE COLORS LIGHTER AND EASIER FOR ME TO CONTROL
<brenda> I USED CHEAP WHITE TISSUE
<brenda> CHEAP WHITE GLUE
<brenda> THEN YOUR CHOICE OF TRIA INKS OR CHEAP WATERCOLOR INKS (WHICH IS WHAT I USE)
<brenda> IF YOU USE THE TRIAS YOU CAN USE A LEAFING PEN FOR MARBLING ON IT
<brenda> AND YOU IUSE ALCOHOL
<brenda> ON A FELT PAD TO DAB THE COLORS ON
<brenda> DEIRECTLY TO THE CARDSTOCK
<brenda> GLOSSY
<InkyWings> ok, have to leave for the stable
<InkyWings> see you later girls!
<brenda> THEN PUT THE LEAFING PEN ON THE CARDSTOCK AND SPRITZ WITH MORE ALCOHOL
<brenda> BYE INKY
<InkyWings> bye
<cindyc> perty
<brenda> THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL THE POLISHED STONE TECHNIQUE
<brenda> TY CINDY
cindyc loves ps
<brenda> NOW YOU CAN DO THIS WITH WATERCOLORS BY PUTTING GLUE TO THE ACETATE
<brenda> CHEAP WHITE GLUE
<brenda> THEN ADD CHEAP WATERCOLORS WITH AA BRUSH
<brenda> AND JUST SWIRL IT OVER
<brenda> THEN PUT TISSUE OVER IT
<brenda> ONTO THE GLUE
<brenda> THEN LET DRY AND CUT TO FIT TAG
<brenda> ON TAG 5 I PUT A CLAY PIECE ON IT
<sparkle> (actually, it's the Metallic Polished Stone tech, the original developed for Letraset/Tria years ago didn't use the metallic pens)
<brenda> ON 6 AND 7 THAT IS THE GLUE ON ACETATE ON TO THE TREIA BACKGROUND
<brenda> OH REALLY DIDNT KNOW THAT
<brenda> TY SPARKLE
<brenda> ANY QUESTIONS?
<cindyc> nope! Ü
<brenda> K
cindyc knew that....

<cindyc> me too
<brenda> YEP
<kaye> that is why i try to put out good all of the time no matter what others do
<cindyc> oh, and i gave credit on my version of the inks on how to use them my version of ps, which i first learned from suze... and with her permission....lol
<kaye> sometimes it is harder than others...lol
<brenda> I WAS SITTING HERE TRYING TO REMEMBER WHO IT WAS THAT TOLD ME THE NEAT IDEA ABOUT PUTTING MAGIC LEAF ON THE CLAY THEN RUNNING IT THRU PASTA MACHINE AGAIN
<brenda> DEB ? OR SPARKLE?
