[the scheduled teacher was unable to get to class, so Jambalaya showed us some great Christmas cards]

<pmstamper> Scout, do you ever go to the MS web site to get instructions for projects?

<wezz> martha stewart??? that's on TV, right???

<Scout> how do you get there? Don't know if I have it bookmarked or not.

<pmstamper> it is just her name and the .com and then you can search the site for projects.

<Scout> Martha is on tv, yes. We get her on channel 9 here.

<pmstamper> I go there and to HGTV as well for Caroll Duval's projects too.

<MomCat> Hi, C!

<c> hi there! :)

<Jambalaya> y'all want to see some quick christmas card ideas??

<Bibi> yeeeeees

<Judy> sure!

<Anita> jaaaaaaaaaaaaa

<Jambalaya> http://www.dm.net/~cak/xmascds.html

<Anita> very nice!!!!!!!!!

<Jambalaya> I MADE NEARLY 100 CHRISTMAS CARDS IN ABOUT 3 EVENINGS

<Judy> nice cards, Jam! Are they all Stubby Stampers stamps?

<Jambalaya> YE, ALL STUBBY STAMPERS

<Judy> I like the one with the trees

<Scout> Jam, you have a lot more energy than I do.

<Jambalaya> http://www.stubbystampers.com/

<Jambalaya> THIS WAS SO EASY THOUGH

<Jambalaya> I CALL IT POWER EMBOSSING<G>

<Judy> lol

<Scout> Just had a thought, Jam. You could email this out to all your friends at Christmas and save all that postage!

<MomCat> Gorgeous, Jam!

<Jambalaya> EMBOSS AS MANY IMAGES AS YOU CAN ON FULL SHEETS OF CARDSTOCK, CUT THEM OUT AND PUT EM ON CARDS

<c> Very neat cards!

<Bibi> nice cards, jams!

<Bibi> and I have that tree - yay!

<Torhild> yes very nice jams!

<Jambalaya> MOST CHRISTMAS IMAGES LOOK GREAT JUST EMBOSSED IN GOLD ON A DEEP RED OR GREEN CARDSTOCK

<MomCat> I =need= that poinsettia!

<Bibi> me, too!

<Jambalaya> SO, NO COLORING, NO FANCY TECHNIQUES

<Jambalaya> JUST GET IT DONE!

<MomCat> I would emboss the poisettia on green and on red

<Jambalaya> YA, THAT'S A GREAT POINSETTIA

<MomCat> and then cut out the red flower and glue it on top of the green

<c> I haven't started on my Xmas cards yet, so your cards Jam really gave me some great ideas. Thanks! (y)

<Jambalaya> GREAT!

<Judy> now you've gone beyond simple, MomCat!

<MomCat> no, Judy that's simple

<Jambalaya> THE SNOWFLAKE SHEETS DOWN AT THE BOTTOM ARE EASIER THAN THEY LOOK TOO

<Jambalaya> JUST VERSAMARK, RUBBED WITH CHALKS

<Jambalaya> THEN EMBOSSED SOME SNOWFLAKES IN GOLD GLITTER EP

<Jambalaya> THEN CUT INTO SQUARES

<Judy> Jam, do you know the number of the grove of trees stamp?

<wezz> sealed?

<Jambalaya> http://www.stubbystampers.com/christmas/trees.html

<Judy> ty!

<Jambalaya> #2425

<Judy> have a list of stamps from Stubby Stamper to add it to

<Jambalaya> AND SEE THE ONE NEXT TO IT? #3043 ?

<Jambalaya> THAT LOOKS SO ELEGANT JUST STAMPED AND EMBOSSED IN GOLD ON A TAN CARD

<Judy> yes

<joyflnoyz> it's too much...trying to keep up with conversation and see everything at the same time!! Heeellllppp mmmeeeee

<Jambalaya> JOY, IT GETS EASIER

<joyflnoyz> lol

<joyflnoyz> If I could get rid of the kids for a few hours it might help...

<Judy> Jam, what kind of embossing powder did you use on your grove of trees?

<Jambalaya> judy, i can't think of the name of it, but Stubby carries it, just ask for the sparly gold ep

<Scout> Just had a thought. Us CA's can run outside this evening and see a firecolor sunset!

<Jambalaya> srarkly

<Judy> ok, ty

<Judy> sparkly?

<Jambalaya> sparkly

<Judy> lol

<Jambalaya> it really doesn't show well in the scans, but's gorgeous

<MomCat> I am planning to use those trees in some of my christmas cards

<Judy> we have orangy skies, but no sun

<MomCat> I am planning to emboss the trees in green and then dab them here and there with glue and sprinkle on glitter

<Judy> what color of cardstock, MomCat?

<Frances> that sounds great, MomCat

* Judy knows a good idea when she hears it!

<MomCat> Judy, I haven't decided

<MomCat> I don't know how solid the trees look when stamped yet

<MomCat> probably I'll stamp them on something that looks like winter sky

<Judy> ooooooh aaaaaaaaaah!

<MomCat> and then color in any areas where the "sky" shows through

<MomCat> I have some pale blue-gray cardstock with random white speckles

<Judy> that would be neat!

<MomCat> i think it looks like a winter sky with snow falling

<Jambalaya> that would be gorgeous mom

<MomCat> ty
