<BlackCats> ty
<Bibi> YW
<LauraK> oh no.. not my credit card again! *lol* I have been so tempted all day to order some alphabet stamps..
<Milla> lol
<Bibi> THE MONA STAMP USED FOR THIS CLASS IS AVAILABLE AS SINGLE STAMP, OR ON A
<Bibi> SHEET WITH 5 OTHER MONAS
<Bibi> OK, DO YOU ALL SEE THE SAMPLES NOW?
<Judy> y
<Dusty> I do
<Torhild_k> y
<craftykim> yep
<miles> yes
<Dorothy> Yes
<Bibi> GOOD
<Milla> yep
<Bibi> SAMPLE #1 AND 1 B - I JUST DID THOSE TWO TO SHOW YOU HOW DIFFERENT A
<Bibi> CARD CAN BE USING DIFFERENT COLORS.
<KzooCat> yes
<Bibi> LET ME KNOW IF I GO TOO FAST
<craftykim> what is the big yellow X ?
<Bibi> OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AS I GO ALONG
<Bibi> I WILL COEM TO THAT ONE IN A BIT
<craftykim> ok
<Bibi> NOTICE HOW THE IMAGE ON SAMPLE 1 IS PARTLY BLACK AND PARTLY BLUE?
<Bibi> I HAD FIRST STAMPED WITH BLACK STAZON INK ON ANOTHER CARD, AND DIDNT CLEAN THE STAMP TOO WELL AFTERWARDS. THEN I STAMPED THIS CARD WITH BLUE STAZON, AND THE BLACK INK SHOWS THRU HERE AND THERE - I LIKED THAT!
<Bibi> ACCIDENTS CAN BE A GOOD THING.
<Milla> Simple idea with great effects!! So different impressions!
<Bibi> THANKS
<Bibi> I USED STAZON BECAUSE MY PADS ARE NEW AND JUICY - AND I GOT THE BEST RESULTS USING JUICY INKS WITH THIS STAMP.
<Bibi> IT'S VERY DETAILED
<Bibi> STAZON IS A SOLVENT BASED INK THAT YOU CAN USE ON PRETTY MUCH ANY SURFACE AND IT STAYZZZ ON FOREVER.
<Milla> Is it like a photo stamp?
<Bibi> YES
<Scout> Does the Stazon work well with all phote stamps? I have trouble with those.
<craftykim> brb, want a cup of coffee
<Bibi> I WOULD THINK SO, SCOUT
<Bibi> I AHVE NOT USED THAT MANY PHOTO STAMPS YET
<LauraK> doesn't new versafine work well with photo stamps too? ok, have heard so anyway *lol*
<Scout> I love them, but have had difficulty getting a good image.
<Phyl> sorry had to reboot can i have url please
<Bibi> THIS ONE IS QUITE EASY COMPARED TO OTHER I HAVE TRIED
<Bibi> IS GIVES A GOOD IMPRESSION
<Bibi> THE PAPER USED ON SAMPLE #1 IS WHITE, AND I SMOOSHED SOME LIGHT BLUE INK ON IT FIRST. ON THE CORNERS, I PUT SOME DARK BLUE INK ON MY FINGER (MY FAVE TOOL, IT'S REALLY HANDY!) AND RUBBED ON THE PAPER. - A SIMPLE WAY TO ADD SOME DIMENTION TO A CARD.
<Judy> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Phyl> ty
<Bibi> TY
<Bibi> NEXT SAMPLE - #1 C - ISN'T THAT PRETTY? *G*
<Bibi> THIS IS TO SHOW YOU AN IDEA ROBIN MA VINCI GAVE ME
<Judy> lovely! What is it?
<Bibi> LOL
<Bibi> YOU SEE, WHEN I MAKE 3D CARDS, THAT IS, LIFTING PART OF THE CARD UP FROM THE REST, I DO NOT LIKE TO USE TINY POP DOTS. THEY ARE WAY TOO SMALL FOR MY STUBBY FINGERS, SO I HAVE USED RUBBER CUSHION THAT I CUT UP IN PIECES
<Bibi> INSTEAD.
<Bibi> ROBIN SUGGESTED I USE FUN FOAM INSTEAD BECAUSE IT ISN'T AS HEAVY AS RUBBER CUSHION. IS THAT CLEVER, OR WHAT? (AND SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN POP DOTS OR CUSHION). THE CROSS IN THE MIDDLE THERE IS DOUBLE STICKY TAPE. CUT THE PIECE OF FUN FOAM A BIT SMALLER THAN THE PART YOU WANT TO LIFT UP SO IT WON'T SHOW FROM THE FRONT.
<Bibi> AS YOU WILL SEE LATER, I USE FUN FOAM FOR MORE...
<Dorothy> Wot are pop dots please?
<Bibi> ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT SAMPLE 1?
<Bibi> THEY ARE 3 MM THICK TAPE
<Milla> Is this what's behind Mona Lisa on image a and b?
<Bibi> THAT IS CUT INTO TINY BITS
<Milla> The fun foam, that is....
<Jambalaya> i have a question
<stampverb> yes, did you say you used your fingers for the background? It looks stippled!
<Dorothy> Thanks Bibi
<Bibi> YOU CAN'T SEE IT ON THE CAR, IT'S BEHIND THE PANEL
<Bibi> YES, JAMS?
<Jambalaya> did you lose my addy???
<Bibi> LOL
<Jambalaya> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<koshka_20> hello
<sMaria> milla it is softis or craft foam that is usually marked for kids crafts
<Bibi> VERB, I USED DTP ON THE CARD, THEN FINGER ON THE CORNERS
<stampverb> ok, thanks
<Bibi> SMOOSHED THAT INK OUT ON THE PAPER
<Bibi> YW
<stampverb> I saw no fingerprints
<koshka_20> 0,0anyone see me?
<Bibi> OK, MOVING ON TO SAMPLE #2
<Scout> I never buy dots anymore, I just keep a shoe box filled with pieces of foam and use those. If you want them higher, just glue one on top of the other.
<Bibi> YES, WE SEE YOU, WELCOME!
<pyromomma> yes, koshka, hello
<koshka_20> 0,0guess I made it in. :)
<Milla> I usually 3D just small parts of an image, not an entire picture like this.... a bit confused....
<Bibi> YES, THAT IS A GOOD IDEA, SCOUT
<stampverb> how do you glue the foam
<stampngrl> any trouble getting the tape to hold the fun foam?
<Scout> just use Aleenes tacky
<Bibi> "ANY" I WOULDN'T KNOW, BUT IA HVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ONES I AHVE TRIED
<pyromomma> I use perm. glue stick on foam and it holds fine
<stampngrl> ok, ty
<Bibi> YW
<Bibi> SAMPLE 2:
<Bibi> THESE "MASKS" ARE MONA'S FACE CUT OUT FROM REGULAR CARD STOCK
<Bibi> THEY LOOK DIMENSIONAL, THE STAMP IS MADE THAT WAY WITH SHADOWS IN THE
<Bibi> DESIGN. COOL, HUH?
<Dorothy> I just managed to undesrtand what you are doing... bit thick tonight!;)
<Wanda> Where can we see the samples?
<Bibi> THE EDGES ON THE CARD, THOSE THINGIES THAT LOOK LIKE A SHARK'S FIN? I
<Bibi> STAMPED THOSE, JUST USING MONA LISA'S SHOULDER - SEE?
<miles> can you give page out again for Koshka
<Bibi> http://crafts.dm.net/mall/reliquary/id51.html
<miles> just click on that koshka
<Scout> Gonna give poor Mona a shark fetish
<miles> samples of class
<Bibi> OK, STILL SAMPLE 2: AND THE LINES THAT GOES ACROSS THE CARD? ANOTHER ACCIDENT THAT I TOOK
<Bibi> ADVANTAGE OF....
<Milla> Clever idea, Bibi!
<Jambalaya> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Torhild_k> nice bibi
<Bibi> THANKS
<Bibi> I USE ACRYLIC MOUNTS WHEN I STAMP, AND SOMETIMES THEY GET A LITTLE MESSY
<Bibi> WITH INK.... WHEN I STAMPED MONA'S SHOULDER ON THE EDGE OF THE CARD, I
<Bibi> ACCIDENTALLY GOT SOME INK MARKS FROM THE MOUNT, SO I PUT MORE INK ON THE
<Bibi> EDGE OF THE MOUNT AND MADE ALL THOSE LINES.
<Phyl> clever
<BlackCats> lol, great save
<Jambalaya> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<pyromomma> happy accident!
<Sari> great idea
<pyromomma> looks great!
<KzooCat> good save
<Bibi> THANK YOU
<stampngrl> cool look
<Bibi> YEP
<Scout> you could also use thread to get the same effect. cover the mistake up also
<craftykim> very good idea!
<Bibi> YES, YOU COULD
<Bibi> TY
<Scout> unless they start poking under the thread!
<Bibi> ANY Q'S ON THIS ONE?
<Bibi> OK, NEXT SAMPLE: #3 -ANOTHER SMOOSHED INK ON CARD STOCK, THEN STAMPED MONA ON TOP. THE EDGES WERE DONE WITH THE TOP OF HER HEAD - SEE THAT?
<craftykim> that looks very classy
<koshka_20> so...what's the topic?
<miles> missed what you used over it
<Bibi> THANKS
<dalis> what ink colr/brand did you used?
<Bibi> OVER, WHERE?
<miles> the card not string but?
<Bibi> ON SAMPLE TWO, I USED THAT INK BRAND I CAN NEVER SPELL... ARIONDACK?
<pyromomma> wow!
<LauraK> adirondack
<LauraK> :)
<Bibi> MILES, THAT'S INK ON THE EDGE OF MY ACRYLIC MOUNTS
<Scout> it's a mountain range
<Bibi> TO MAKE THOS ELINES
<miles> nice
<Bibi> TY
<Milla> What a neat idea to use part of the stamp as background or accent!
<stampverb> it's an American Indian word, Bibi
<Bibi> VERB, THANKS!
<BlackCats> what a neat idea, bibi
<stampverb> and the name of some mountains in New York state
<Bibi> NOW, WHERE WERE WE?
<pyromomma> sample 3
<Phyl> ah mona's head?
<dalis> heads all over the place...
<Milla> Sample no 3 - Mona's head
<Bibi> YEP
<Bibi> SEE HOW YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE STAMP
<Phyl> very nice effect
<pyromomma> quick Q on sample 2: did you 3-D the mona faces ?
<BlackCats> never really thought of doing that. thanks for idea, bibi
<Scout> That's a good idea, Bibi. Will have to look at stamps with that thought in mind, now.
<Bibi> NO, THE MONA FACES ARE LIKE THAT, FROM THE SHADOW ON THE STAMP DESIGN - IT LOOKS 3D
<Bibi> YEP!
<Bibi> ONE STAMP CAN HIDE MANY THINGS...
<pyromomma> using the differnt parts makes each stamp into many stmaps....very very cool!!!
<pyromomma> thnx, bib, have to get that stamp
<Bibi> STILL ON SAMPLE #3: ON THE SIDE, I CUT OUT SOME OF THE DOMINOS AND GLUED THEM ON. VERY SIMPLE CARD, SO EASY TO MAKE! THE TINY THINGIES THERE ON MONA'S DRESS ARE EYELETS.
<dalis> did you cut this stamp in two... face and dominos?
<Bibi> YES, I DID.... WILL TELL YOU WHY IN A BIT
<dalis> OK.
<Bibi> ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE I MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SAMPLE?
<dalis> background...how?
<pyromomma> love the samples. beautiful
<dalis> dtp?
<Bibi> BACKGROUND, I SMOOSHED INK ON THE PAPER
<Milla> It looks marbled...
<Bibi> YES, DTP
<dalis> thanks!
<LauraK> dtp?
<pyromomma> smooshing being one of those technical ternms, of course
<Bibi> TY, pyromomma
<Bibi> YW
<Bibi> DTP = DIRECT TO PAPER
<Bibi> WHEN YOU SMOOSH INK FROM YOUR PAD TO THE PAPER
<LauraK> *lol* of course :)
<Scout> Isn't it wonderful how some people can "smoosh" so artistically. Mine usually just looks spilled.
<Bibi> YES, IT'S TECHNICAL TERM.. lol!
<Bibi> LOL, SCOUT
<Bibi> PJACCTIZ
<pyromomma> but then you get to name it as a new term, Scout
<sMaria> smooch from your pad, dont you use any sponge etc?
<Bibi> OK, SAPLE 4:
<Bibi> SAMPLE, EVEN
<Bibi> SAMPLE #4: I MASKED OFF MONA AND JUST STAMPED THE DOMINOS. THE EMBELLISHMENT ON THIS CARD IS METALLIC EMBROIDERY FLOSS. IF YOU PUT THE METALLIC FLOSS AROUND, SAY A BOOKMARK, IT WILL GET THAT ZIGZAG SHAPE YOU SEE HERE.
<Bibi> SMARIA, NO SPONGE
<Scout> I'd rather a different kind of smooch, sMaria! vbg
<sMaria> ty
<Bibi> LOL
<Bibi> YW
<Milla> Does the thread stay zigzaggy?
<Bibi> YES
<Milla> Because it's metallic?
<sMaria> scout :)
<Bibi> YEP
<pyromomma> just hanging, or do you have the thread attached at both ends?
<Bibi> KEWL, HUH?
<miles> learning new stuff
<Milla> Yes! Must try that sometime!
<Bibi> I DISCOVERED IT BY ACCIDENT, OF COURSE
<Phyl> nice idea
<stampngrl> didn't know that about that thread.....cool!
<pyromomma> very very kewl, thx
<Judy> really kewl
<Bibi> JUST HANGING
<Milla> Lol, Bibi!
<Sari> Bibi you have good accidents :)
<pyromomma> Bibi, now I have to find all of my old embroidery stuff
<Scout> Didn't know that Metallic thread actually could have wire in it like the wired ribbon
<Bibi> I LOVE STAMPING ACCIDENTS (WELL, MOST OF THEM ANYWAY)
<Phyl> you shure make the most of them
<Bibi> LOL!
<Phyl> mine go in the garbage
<Bibi> NEXT SAMPLE? READY?
<pyromomma> I never throw a card away, always use my accidents somehow
<dalis> y
<Phyl> ready
<pyromomma> makes you think!
<pyromomma> ready!
<miles> I save my accidents and make something else out of them
<Teri> this is very interesting #5
<Bibi> SAMPLE #5abcd.... MONA LISA MEETS ANDY WARHOL.
<Bibi> THIS STAMP SCANS FUNNY SOMETIMES. THERE ARE LINES HERE ON THE SCAN THAT ARE NOT ON THE STAMP. ON THE WARHOL SCAN, HER CHEST LOOKS VERY WEIRD, THE STAMP IS NOT LIKE THAT.
<Bibi> NOW, LOOKING AT SAMPLE 5b, I TOOK A PICTURE OF HOW I ALIGN THE ACRYLIC
<Bibi> MOUNT WHEN I WANT TO STAMP THE IMAGE IN A ROW LIKE THAT...
<Bibi> AND TO BE ABLE TO SHOW YOU WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE, I ACTUALLY CUT THE DOMINOS OFF THE STAMP. (I CAN STILL USE THE STAMP THE WAY IT WAS ORIGINALLY, THOUGH, BY GLUING THE PIECES TOGETHER ON AN ACRYLIC MOUNT. I USE REG. GLUE STICK FOR THAT)
<Bibi> 5B: SEE THE LINES I HAVE PUT TO BE ABLE TO PLACE THE ACRYLIC MOUNT ON THE
<Bibi> SAME ....LINE? I FIND THAT VERY HELPFUL, AND I DONT HAVE A STAMP POSITIONER, BUT THIS WORKED JUST GREAT!
<Bibi> Y'ALAL WITH ME SO FAR?
<dalis> great idea...
<pyromomma> reading and looking, just a min
<Milla> Never thought of that!
<Phyl> yes
<Teri> clear as mud
<Bibi> LOL
<craftykim> so are you just inking her head Bibi?
<Bibi> ALL OF HER
<Bibi> NOW, ON #5c, YOU SEE MONA STAMPED ON FUN FOAM AND CUT OUT
<Bibi> THIS IS WHAT I USE FOR THE "SHADOW STAMP" ON THE WARHOL CARD.
<craftykim> But where is her shoulders on the sample?
<pyromomma> okay, I am up to speed now
<Teri> aha! Wondered how you did that!
<Bibi> OH! ME TAKES A BETER LOOK AT HER SAMPLES
<sMaria> I was also wondering but it«s clear now :)
<Bibi> ON THE SAMPLE WIHT THE MOUNT AND LINES, I ONLY STAMPED HER FACE
<LauraK> that is a super great idea bibi!
<Bibi> BUT ON THE CARD, IT'S THE WHOLE HER
<Bibi> TY
<Bibi> SEE #5D: I STAMPED WITH BRIGHT COLORS, USING THE "SHADOW STAMP" MONA MADE OF FUN FOAM FIRST, THEN OVERSTAMPED WITH BLACK INK.
<Bibi> -FILL FUN FOAM WITH BRIGHT INK, THEN STAMP ON CARDSTOCK
<Bibi> AND THEN STAMP THE RUBBER STAMP WITH BLACK ON TOP OF THAT.
<craftykim> Okay, I get it now, thanks
<Bibi> YW, THANKS FOR ASKING!
<Scout> ah, another good idea, Bibi
<pyromomma> okay, i got it now
<dalis> COOL
<craftykim> Oh what a great Idea!
<Bibi> THIS IS ALSO KNOW AS DUO STAMPING
<Milla> You made your own shadow stamp?
<craftykim> gonna put fun foam on my shopping list
<Bibi> YES
<miles> oh wonderful
<pyromomma> also called craft foam, great stuff
<Milla> Aha! Need to go shopping, I think!
<Scout> I love that idea. Can be used with any stamp, I would imagine
<Bibi> FUN FOAM IS A MUST HAVE, I MAKE REG. SHADOW STAMPS (LIKE SQUARES) OF IT, TOO
<miles> I have some
<Bibi> YES, WITH ANY STAMP
<stampngrl> oh, now I get it
<miles> love the colors
<Teri> i have fun foam adn was wondering what to do with it! Now I know!!!!!
<pyromomma> can cut it with fancy scissors, too
<Bibi> GREAT, TERI!
<dalis> (u) I just put it in the trash a week ago.. all of it....
<Scout> does it mess up the fancy shears, pyro?
<pyromomma> love the duo idea, THANKS BIBI!!!!
<Teri> hubby will faint! I will use something that I already have!
<Bibi> YES, USE FANCY SCISSORS ON THE DEGE OF YOUR SQUARE ORECT. SHADOW STAMPS, VERRAH KEWL
<miles> sample 5 love the colors
<Bibi> LOL TERI
<pyromomma> no
<BlackCats> another great idea, bibi
<Bibi> TY, MILES
<Bibi> TY!
<pyromomma> cut a piece of foil to sharpen
<Bibi> ANY QUESTIONS ON THE WARHOL CARD?
<Dorothy> You can also use the fun faom stamps as motifs incorperated into machine embroideries
<Scout> being an old seamtress, I always worry about messing up shears.
<Bibi> THAT SOUNDS FUN, Dorothy
<Dorothy> Yes they look good
<pyromomma> don;t use your good pinkers, Scout
<Scout> Sacrilege, pyro!
<Bibi> MOVING ON TO NEXT SAMPLE....
<Bibi> SAMPLE #6: REMEMBER I CUT THE DOMINOS OFF TO BE ABLE TO TAKE A BETTER
<Bibi> PICTURE EARLIER? (FOR SAMPLE #5b) ON SAMPLE #6, I USED THE CUT OUT DOMINOS AND JUST STAMPED THEM OVER AND OVER TO MAKE THAT BACKGROUND.
<pyromomma> have to try punches with fun foam, see if it works
<Dorothy> stampt them use those rub on metallic waxes lightly all over the top
<Bibi> GREAT IDEA!
<sMaria> I have to use my naked man for tis andy warhol-style!
<pyromomma> okay, sample 6 looks wonderful!
<Bibi> WOULD THAT BE YOUR HUSBAND, sMaria?
<craftykim> Pyro, you can use a die cut machine too
<pyromomma> LOL
<Scout> is he for loan?
<Bibi> LOL
<Milla> Did you cut out all the dominoes separately, Bibi?
<pyromomma> donl;t have one of those
<sMaria> no, everyone need some extra naked men ;)
<Phyl> lord yes
<LauraK> *grin*
<sMaria> nuber 6 looks great
<BlackCats> lol
<Scout> I keep wondering how to work them into a card....
<craftykim> just take some to a scrapbooking store, they will usually let you use it
<pyromomma> okay, guys, cut it out, you are making think of things other than stampin!
<LauraK> it will be gorgeous, sMaria :)))
<Jambalaya> jeez, i turn my back for a minute and they're in here swapping hubbys
<sMaria> laura ;)
<BlackCats> <G>
<Bibi> NO, I DID NOT CUT THEM OUT, BUT I COULD STRAIGHTEN THE DMINOS OUT..... HARD TO EXPLAIN... SO THEY FORMED ONE STRAIGHT STAMP, THE DOMINOS WERE THEN ON A LINE
<pyromomma> LOL we are having a great time , Jam
<Scout> Jam, you're just sorry you didn't think of it first. vbg
<Bibi> LOL
<pyromomma> looks like you lined them up in 6s, Bibi?
<Bibi> SAMPLE 6, CONT'D: I USED A RAINBOW INK PAD FOR THE DOMINOS, THEN STAMPED OVER THE DOMINOS WITH TWO WORD STAMPS, ALSO FROM MA VINCI
<Bibi> I LINED THEM UP, YES. EYEBALLED THEM ONTO THE CARD
<Milla> Ok... didn't realize you could straighten them out that much...
<Bibi> WITH ACRYLIC MOUNTS, YOU SEE WHERE YOU STAMP, SO IT'S NOT HARD
<Scout> What does it say in back, Bibi? Can't make it out.
<Bibi> INSPIRE AND CREATE
<dalis> create
<Scout> ty
<Bibi> YW
<Bibi> ON CENTER PANEL, MONA STAMPED ON CS THAT I LIFTED UP FROM BACKGROUND CARD WITH FUN FOAM. AND LOTS OF FIBERS/YARN, OF COURSE. .
<Bibi> ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS CARD?
<pyromomma> wait
<Bibi> OK
<pyromomma> okay, got it
<Dorothy> I've got those they came yesterday from ma Vinci... order to Engald took just 5 days in total!
<Bibi> WOW
<Dorothy> No tax eother!
<Scout> boy, talk about service!
<pyromomma> that's fast!
<Bibi> THAT'S GREAT!
<Bibi> OK, SAMPLE #7: LOUSY SCAN, BUT I WANTED TO SHOW YOU ANYWAY. THE TRIANGLE IS MONA STAMPED WITH SILVER BRILLIANCE ON BLACK SHRINK PLASTIC. THE DOMINOS ARE STAMPED AND CUT OUT FROM CARD STOCK, NOT SHRINK PLASTIC, THEY WERE TOO ITTY BITTY AFTER SHRINKING, SO I USED CARDSTOCK INSTEAD.
<Bibi> HI TEA
<pyromomma> hi tea
<Bibi> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Phyl> love that one
<tea> gosh hi there!
<Milla> Hi Tea!
<tea> what's up?
<Bibi> STILL ON SAMPLE 7
<Bibi> I PUNCHED HOLES IN THE SHRINK PLASTIC THE TRIANGLE BEFORE BAKING, AND
<Bibi> ATTACHED THE DOMINOS WITH JUMP RINGS AFTERWARDS.
<Bibi> HERE'S A TIP: WHEN PUNCHING HOLES LIKE THAT IN CARDSTOCK, TO AVOID TEARING, WHAT I DID WAS REINFORCE IT ON THE BACK BY ADDING A BIT OF DOUBLE STICKY TAPE, *WITHOUT* TAKING THE PROTECTIVE PAPER OFF THE TAPE. MAKES REALLY GOOD REINFORCEMENT WITHOUT GETTING BULKY AT ALL!
<stampverb> TEA, look at http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Phyl> good tip Bibi
<pyromomma> very nice
<Scout> tea, you missed grerat Bibi stuff. be sure and check logs
<craftykim> good idea
<Bibi> HI MA
<Jambalaya> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Bibi> THE CARD BEHIND THE TRIANGLE IS BLACK, THEN I SMOOSHED SILVER BRILLIANCE ON IT.
* Bibi SMOOSHES A LOT
<Phyl> a bibi specialty
<Milla> lol
<pyromomma> so the shrink stuff is clear?
<Dusty> I like the silver on the black.
<dalis> she is a good smoosher...
<Bibi> LOL
<cak> oh! I thought it was a necklace pendant!
<Bibi> THE SHRINK PLASTIC I USED HERE, THE TRIANGLE? IS BLACK
<Torhild_k> me too
<pyromomma> It could be a necklace
<Bibi> YA, I GUESS IT COULD
<pyromomma> black ink triangel ?
<Dorothy> The smooshing looks like a similar effect to the metallic waxes?
<Bibi> HI CindyC
<dalis> how big is the traingle?
<Bibi> THE SHRINK PLASTIC WAS BLACK
<miles> Its not a necklace?
<tea> Bibs, did you make all those cards? I am so impressed
<Bibi> IT'S A CARD
<pyromomma> okay, TY Bibi
<Judy> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<miles> nice
<pyromomma> and a loveley one!
<Wanda> Are you Tea from Norway
<tea> yepp, are you my wanda???
<dalis> how big is the triangle?
<miles> all your cards are wonderful
<Wanda> Yep
<tea> how cool is that!
<Wanda> Very
<Bibi> Dorothy, THAT COULOD BE, I NEVER TRIED WAXES
<CindyC> ty
<Wanda> I just got on about 10 minutes ago
<Bibi> THE TRIANGLE IS.... ABOUT 2'' OR 5 CM
<tea> me too!
<Dorothy> Worth a go Bibi
<Bibi> I WILL CHEKC IT OUT :)
<miles> could be a nice charm
<Bibi> OK....
<Bibi> LAST SAMPLE: WOODEN LETTER HOLDER THAT I PAINTED IN RED, ORANGE, BROWN, AND GOLD. NOW, NOTICE ANYTHING "FUNNY" WITH THE MONA STAMP HERE?
<pyromomma> how sis you do stripes at bottom of card?
<miles> I love these
<dalis> Miles I am thinking to use it as wine charms... you know to differentiate your wine glass.
<miles> oh yes
<craftykim> she is backwards
<Milla> She's reversed...
<pyromomma> #7 stripes?
<Phyl> she is bigger
<Bibi> I JUST TORE THEM UP FROM CARD STOCK AND PLACED THEM ON TOP ON ONE ANOTHER
<pyromomma> TY
<Bibi> SHE IS INDEED BACKWARDS!
<Bibi> YW
<pyromomma> more fun foam?
<craftykim> okay how'd you do it???
<Bibi> IT'S A SECRET
<Bibi> AND I WILL TELL YOU!
<Bibi> LOL
<Bibi> I STAMPED MONA ON TISSUE PAPER, THEN TURNED IT OVER TO GET HER TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY. YOU CAN DO THAT ON CARDS, TOO, OF COURSE. JUST FOR VARIATION.
<pyromomma> please tell!!!!!!!
<Milla> Tissue paper?
<craftykim> 'cmon!!!!
<Bibi> LOL
<Scout> also why? just to be different?
<Dorothy> Oh Wow!
<Bibi> JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT, YES, LOL
<pyromomma> very cool!
<craftykim> see, ya learn somthin new every day!!!!
<pyromomma> would rice paper work?
<miles> I never thought of that
<Milla> Neat idea!
<Scout> I like the way your brain works, Bibi
<Milla> lol
<tea> and a cool trick too, to reverse images like that
<Bibi> pyromomma, I'M SURE IT WOULD
<pyromomma> good bibi brain
<Bibi> TY, SCOUT, I'M JUST GLAD IT WORKS
<Dorothy> I use tissue paper bonded to craft vilene for my embroideries... another trick to try there!
<craftykim> got to add tissue paper to the list too!
<tea> Bibis brain very often reverses LOL
<sMaria> decoupage?
<pyromomma> have you tried using funfoam to stamp a reverse?
<Bibi> TEA KNOWS ME TOO WELL.... LOL
<craftykim> What do you use to stick it down Bibi?
<Bibi> NO, I HAVENT, PYRO, BUT I'M SURE IT WOULD WORK
<pyromomma> decoupage would be cool and make the inks show though
<Bibi> I USED A DECOUPAGE GLUE
<pyromomma> I use watered elmers
<tea> I would go for decoupage too
<sMaria> what did I won ;)
<craftykim> Oh....adding that to the list!
<miles> I like decoupaging
<Bibi> LOL, MARIA, SEND ME YOUR ADDY
<Scout> brand name?
<Bibi> CHEMAGE
<Bibi> NOTICE MONA'S NAME ON THE FRONT THERE? THOSE ARE ALPHABET STENCILS FROM MA VINCI. THOSE ARE THE ACTUAL STENCILS THAT I SMOOSHED SOME BLACK INK ON AND GLUED TO THE FRONT THERE.
<Scout> hmmmmm.....
<tea> is there by the way a big difference between what is referred to as gel medium and decoupage glue?
<pyromomma> Did I win too?
<Bibi> ANYONE KNOW?
<Jambalaya> http://dm.net/~bibi/mavincisss.html
<Bibi> YOU ARE ALL WINNERS, YOU ARE HERE! LOL
<Bibi> THE OTHER THINGS ON THE BOX ARE BITS AND PIECES FROM VINTAGE BOOKS AND SHEET MUSIC.
<pyromomma> I WON!!!!!!!
<pyromomma> I never win anything!!!!!!!
<Dorothy> I think there is a difference between gel and glue
<Bibi> LOL
<CindyC> i just love these samples bibi
<tea> I am trying to find out how that difference affects the artpieces, anyone know?
<pyromomma> gel might dry clearer?
<sMaria> isn«t gel more "oily"?
<Bibi> TY, CINDY!
<pyromomma> I know that gel lifts images better than glue
<tea> Or am I breaking the rules here, bb, and changing the subject? didn't mean to,
<Dusty> I think gel helps you move the color and glue sticks it down.
<Phyl> gel isprobably wetter
